Poured from a bottle into a Dogfish snifter. Bottled on 10/4/12

A- pours a nearly transparent shade of yellow with a one finger pure white head. Looks pretty damn solid IMO, very clean

S- ridiculously heavy citrus aroma from the wet hops. Oh man, it's awesomely pungent

T- slight bitterness, plenty of juicy citrus. I kind of expected more, but still really good

M- on the thick side. Almost syrupy

O- damn good wet hop. Founders delivers, as usual

Hazy gold color with a one finger white head and nice lacing. The smell has citrus hops, with the aromas of grapefruit and oranges. There is also a decent amount of caramel malt.

The taste also has grapefruit, oranges, and a nice caramel malt backbone. Nice combination of sweetness and bitterness.

Medium bodied, nice carbonation, with a bittersweet aftertaste. A very easy beer to drink. As usually is the case, this is another great beer from Founders.

Pours a pale yellow with touches of orange mixed in. Head is only about thumb sized off white and it falls quickly but leaves plenty of lacing.

Aroma is not over powering but very nice almost soft hops, light herbal minty notes on a tropical fruit base not so much the big citrus hops but lighter and very pleasant. Malt base is light more bready with a touch of honey then caramel.

Taste is just like the nose basically, light tropical fruits on a bread malt base. Hops move to a more herbal then a minty like finish with some light lingering bitterness. Very pleasant and hop forward with out being over powering, lots of hops flavors say medium bitterness. This is one smooth and easy drinking IPA. Good flavors with out the need to scrap your tongue in between drinks.

Mouthfeel is light side also carbonation is on the lighter side which I enjoy.

Overall really digging this brew, hard to believe its 7.6% as it drinks as easy as the All Day IPA while being much more enjoyable. Wonderful beer.

Second of an awesome trade with Captin!

Honestly, I didn't check the freshness date. Whatever, the beer was terrific so I assume it was pretty fresh!

A golden tan color, somewhat hazy with a one finger head and a beautiful sheen of fine lacing on the glass.

It's got an overall hoppyish to lightly piney aroma, with a spicy, fruity background of sweet citrus, spearmint, and light malts. Overall smells great!

Tastes sweet, with a lightly malty background behind the moderate pine-hoppy front and spicy, peppery core make for a very well balanced, yet bold APA. Just a smidge of florals and spices round out what's a very complex and tasty brew.

It's got a pretty thick and rich mouthfeel, medium bodied, medium bittersweet aftertaste, lingering but lightly piney flavors persist. Very nice indeed.

My first Founder's. Drinks great. I'm a big fan of the APA style and this one would be a regular for me if I could get it every day. I want more!

on tap @ the bridge

pour was a darkish golden yellow with hints of light copper and orange. a bit of brightness through out. light head.

light citrus and pine with more emphasis on the citrus. pale malty body.

lots of pine up front and through out. mild citrus and grapefruit hidden. light malty body. a bit more harsh than the bottle.

moderate carbonation. decent body, fairly full.

i prefer the bottle to this all the way. the bottle seems to have more grapefruit and citrus in general. this was more pine. good, but the bottle is better.
