A: Deepest black in color with a very dark brown head forming briefly. Looks quite viscous pouring into the glass.

S: Plenty of roast-char aroma, dark malt, and slight dark fruit aroma.

T: Darkly roasted malt with a nice charred edge. Solid bitterness that blots out any possible sweetness. Little to no alcohol is noticeable initially.

M: Thick, silky, and smooth to an extreme degree. Nearly perfect feel on this.

O: The best non-BA stout I've had, and likely one of the best out there.

A: Dark dark black like motor oil. The way I poured it there's not much head but a thin dark tan ring. Lots of lacing.

S: Lots of chocolate on the nose. I also get a faint toffee or caramel-like aroma.

T: Lots of baker's chocolate up front - like a rich dark chocolate. There's also caramel or toffee sweetness, along with a big raisin flavor. It's a bit boozy but not overly so.

M: Thick and viscous, and a little dry. Has that booze burn to it.

O: It took a while for me to come back to this one because I got mostly booze and dryness when I first tried it. But after a year or two of trying so many different things, I can now say that this is a truly great beer. It's now my go-to stout in the Winter.

A - Motor oil thick, black pour. Thin deep brown head retains some with decent lacing.

S/T - Espresso roast, bitter dark chocolate, milk chocolate sweetness, pine hops in the long finish. Moderately bitter. Alcohol stays extremely well hidden, adding a pleasing warmth.

M - Spectacular. Rich, full body, low carbonation, silky smooth.

O - Price tag makes me hesitate, but it's worth it.
