12 ounce can into a tulip.

Pours raspberry-hued and fizzy. A quick and fizzy head dissipates quickly. Something unique about the fizz and color combination.

Smells a bit funky... Maybe a bit of diaper but it's faint. Nutty and sweet before the tart raspberry arrives.

Taste is a major upgrade from the nose. Much more of what you want/expect from a raspberry ale. Up front is a vanilla, nutty, sweet malt that sets things up nicely for the tart berry.

Up front creaminess, sweet nuttiness, while a tart fruitiness carries throughout. Very light and almost spritzy. Something incredibly easy to drink.

Well now I got the fruit for my diet today. Wow.

I love this - a fruit beer that doesn't say, "Pardon me." More like, "Here I come." This is the latter. It is very pretty in the glass. Ruby red with a VERY nice continuous head. The aroma says fruit salad - with yeast all over it. The taste is a nice sour that never tries to be bitter in any way. Rich and luxurious.

This is an excellent fruit beer and I think I probably should stock up a few sixers.

Vintage 2015 edition. I’ve forgotten this beer in my beercellar and the printing on the bottle says: "best by January 28, 2016" - Time to drink it!

The beer pours hazy with a beautiful red color. Two finger high, white head.

Nose: Sweet raspberry and cherry, very fruity!
Taste: Sweet malt, a little sour taste at the end. Raspberry of course. Tart. Love it!
Mouth: Medium body. Medium, soft carbonation. Sweet and sour.

Wow! I still love this beautiful beer! This bottle is three months "out of date" but it still is GREAT!

Bought a bottle at the Beer Shop in East Longmeadow. Beer pours with a medium sized head that quickly dissipates to form a ring around the glass. The beer has a clear reddish pink appearance with visible carbonation. Aromas include a sharp raspberry taste that fills the nose. Really rich. Taste follows the nose very well with a very sweet and tart raspberry flavor. Really good carbonation and medium body makes this beer slightly creamy with a crisp carbonation. Overall, I was really blown away by how rich the raspberry flavors were, both in aroma and taste. A really excellent fruit beer.

You can't deny that it's beautifully pinkish red. It smells and taste like rasberry with the lightest and cleanest of base beers. Very thin and quite drinkable with a lightness and faint tartness. Cheers!

First had at Finch's Brasserie, Bloomington, Indiana, on draft into pint tumbler. Normally avoid non-Belgian (or Belgian-style) fruit beers; tried this because of the brewery. Fruity but balanced.

12 ounce bottle poured into a snifter

A: Pours a light cherry red with a pink head, head is full and fluffy, beer is clear, average amount of carbonation, slight lacing, looks thin.

A: Raspberries, fresh raspberries, also smells like mineral water, very fruity, no alcohol at all on the nose, just a tart smelling beer.

T: Nice punch of raspberries up front, touch of fruity tartness, finish is all raspberries, semi-sour, semi-tart, very fruity, not bad.

M: Light bodied with lots of carbonation and a juicy finish.

O: It's very enjoyable, definitely get the raspberries, taste natural as well, touch of tart and sourness, very drinkable, I can see myself drinking this during hot southern CA summers, very tasty.

You'd better like Raspberry. Tons of rich raspberry flavor. Almost two levels of light and dark berry. A little too much on first sip, was sold after a few more. Great occasional drink the right time of year. Agree that it doesn't taste much like beer. It could be used in cocktails or drinks asking for a fizzy berry flavor.

L - pours a small white head that dissapates quickly. Body is red
S - raspberry!
T - yeast barley up front but it is over taken by the raspberry. Really sweet
F - super light easy to drink beer that is ideal for the warmer months
O - treaty drinking beer, first of this kind I've ever had. It's supposed to taste like raspberries and it does. It's pretty sweet so I can only handle one at a time

Pours a dark pink, and settles in the glass a deep purplish color with a thin, pink tinged head. Kind of interesting, but it's also a little off putting to see such a vibrantly colored beer. Smells like a raspberry jelly donut and red wine. The taste is very sweet with a slightly dry finish. Again, lots of raspberry flavor here and a little more like wine than beer, I couldn't really pick up any identifiable beer flavors. Very little bitterness to counteract the sweetness. Feel was medium and sort of syrupy and unpleasant...mine didn't have a lot of carbonation and that combined with the sweetness made it feel like raspberry jam in my mouth. Leaves a kind of cloying aftertaste and coating on the tongue. I might drink one again in the future and see how it pairs with dessert, but overall, it didn't impress me much.

Dark pink hue with a two inch light pink head. Sweet aroma and taste of raspberry. The raspberry taste is fresh, distinct raspberry, and not too sweet. However, it does taste more like carbonated raspberry juice/cider than beer. Interesting and refreshing but I am not digging it that much.

Look - light red almost pinkish in a glass. 2 finger white head that dissipates into a lacing.

Smell - Smells like real raspberries, sweet malt, slight white wine like smell.

Taste - you get the raspberries, but it's more like a raspberry spritzer than a beer. Like a fizzy flavoured white wine. If I was blindfolded, I'd have no idea this was a beer.

Founder's Rubaeus, pure raspberry ale. 5.7% ABV.

A: Slightly pink tinted head; about a finger and a half's worth. Dark rose pink in the glass, with a slightly pink tone in the dimple. Decent sheeting. Nice lacing.

S: Similar to the Blushing Monk, it smells like a sweet glazed, raspberry filled donut. Sweet, doughy. Big raspberry jelly aroma!

T/MF: Taste is not as sweet as the aroma would have you believe. Raspberry seed flavor is present, but light enough. Just a pleasant raspberry flavor for a beer. Light doughy malt character, but the raspberry is the star. Raspberry tartness is mostly noticeable, under the tongue, along the sides. The flavor is light enough that this would go good with a summery salad, or a lighter dessert. Or, some chocolate would be good, too.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle, into a Belgian tulip glass.

Had this on tap, poured into a pint glass. Look is muddled reddish pink. Smell is sweet, muted raspberries. Taste is really good. Easy to drink, little sweet...crushable. Mouthefeel is medium bodied, medium carbonation. Overall a really nice beer. Grade (A-)

The smell is faint and subtle.
The overall taste is like a fruit tart with a "mini" mix of creamy (nitro) melting and invigorating your mouth!
This is a must get on tap/nitro!!!

This is one brew that seems to get a lot of negative talk but I really enjoy it. Nice ruby red color and excellent flavor. Best enjoyed in the summer but its in my fridge year round. Glad to see Founders has made this a year round beer now, will make my life easier. LOL

I could have like twenty of these. A bit sweet and heavy on the mouthfeel, but damn. I am a huge fan of Alaskan Brewing's raspberry wheat, but I think I've found my new favorite.

Bright red, slightly hazy, but not quite as vibrant and popping as the ruby red raspberry jam that Lindeman's Framboise is. Thin white head.

Smell is crisp, bright raspberries, a little bread, or pancake even.

Taste is softer and lighter on the raspberry, with some cracker--overall, not quite the apertif Framboise is, and not quite the full on onslaught of raspberry goodness. It becomes a little medicinal, like cherry cough syrup, as it warms, both in taste and aroma.

Feel is a little thin and sticky or filmy at times.

look: a slightly burnt red color, slightly pinker than it is red. almost no head.

smell: pretty authentic raspberry smell, quite sweet, slightly tart.

taste: pretty much in line with the smell. Authentic raspberry taste, but a little too sweet.

feel: light bodied, tart, nice carbonation.

Good beer, only complaint is that its overly sweet.

Hard to review as a beer, but pretty tasty nonetheless! Pours ruddy, with no foam. Aroma is definitely raspberry. Very nice, I'll definitely suggest this to my next girlfriend. Taste is a nice balance of sweet and tart, true to the real berry. It's a bit more carbonated than I like and leaves a tart aftertaste. Kinda weird, kinda good.

Had this on tap on nitro. Initially nice balance of sweetness to tart. As it warmed up it got to be a little too fruity tasting. Not really as refreshing as some of the other fruit beers.

Love the raspberry taste, anything but artificial. HOWEVER, it didn't taste like a beer, it was a wine cooler with a bit more abv. It gave me a tummy ache it was so sweet and malty. Wouldn't be caught buying it, but I'd drink one if someone tossed it to me.

Tasted from a 12 oz bottle on September 14, 2015. Look is pink, thin head and some lacing. Smell is tart berries and biscuity malts. Taste is sweet and lightly tart raspberry. Feel is light in body with a crisp finish.
