Pours pinkish red, like raspberries, with a raspberry-white chocolate head. Aroma is of fresh picked raspberries in a field of raspberries. Flavor is of raspberry jam, raspberry preserves, raspberry jelly, and a mouthful of raspberries right off the vine. Mouthfeel is slightly sticky but super drinkable. Overall: raspberries.

I love raspberry beers and this is one of my favorites. Some would say it is too sweet, but I love it. Strong raspberry on the nose, and in the taste. Excellent mouthfeel and overall excellent. As with other fruit beers, this is best drunk cold.

This is one of my favorite beers. The beer is reddish in color and has a large foamy head that lasts. The aroma and flavorings are very much raspberry forward. Is sweet and lightly carbonated, much like a juice. Has some ale notes on the nose but not so much in the flavor, also is light in hops.

This beer has great raspberry flavor. A little sweet for my taste, which is why I rated the taste category only a 4/5 but it has a smooth feel and is enjoyable. I would only be able to drink one at a time but it's a fun summer beer! I recommend to those that love fruit beers and dislike hops!

Rubaeus is an extremely interesting beer! Extreme flavors of raspberry, almost tastes like a juice. Has a fairly large frothy head that gives way to a very smooth glass. This is a great drink for a summer day. While this tastes like a juice, you still can get the ale notes when smelled. As always, Founders has created a splendid drink.

Deep grapefruit color. Bready, Belgian-type nose meshing well with the raspberries. Taste starts with raspberry,then breadiness mixes in. Slight bitterness comes at the end bringing a fine balance.

A: crystal clear; bronzish pink in color; 1 finger faint pink head that receded quickly to a thin collar; no lacing;

S: raspberry, but not very assertive; definitely a mineral note as well;

t: a lot of raspberry flavor; sweeter up front; a little tartness in the middle; sweeter again on the finish with a little tartness again in the aftertaste; no bitterness;

M: light to medium bodied; moderate, fizzy carbonation;

O: a very good fruit beer;

This "beer" poured out a light purple color with what looked like a cider style drink in the glass. I could tell that there was something added to this beer. The taste was sweet and thick, almost a syrup consistency.

APPEARANCE: A very clear red, with a small amount of tiny bubbles rising. About a half finger of strawberry head that dissipates quickly down to a ring. Very slight lacing left down glass.
AROMA: Prominent raspberry, and an underlying funk or tart quality.
TASTE: Big sweet and tart rasberries. Get a nice funky thing happening underneath...the yeast, IDK?
FEEL: Mild carbonation, slick feel up front, then drying on finish. Medium body.
OVERALL: Would be berry refreshing on a hot day, pun intended. Easy to drink, too.

What really got me on this one was the feel and look. I'd been eyeing it at my local shop for a while but ended up trying it on tap and am glad I didn't commit to a four or six pack.

Look: Deep pinkish red. It looks exactly like you'd expect a raspberry beer to look. It has about a 1/2 inch head when poured on tap. Very beautiful to look at though overall.

Aroma: Seems obvious, but raspberry.

Taste: Also seems obvious, but raspberry. While having expectations may have skewed my perception, this is where the beer was lackluster for me. I enjoy sweet things but this was too sweet for me. There wasn't much offsetting the berry, like something tart, giving it a syrupy taste.

Feel: The nitro aspect makes this incredibly smooth and something that I did like about the beer. It was redeeming.
