Look: Red clear body, one finger white head.

Smell : Pure raspberry jellies.

Taste : Same as above, but with a bit of breadiness from the malt. Raspberry muffins anyone?

Feel : Medium body and carbonation, sweet and slightly tart at the same time. Slightly bitter aftertaste.

Poured into a Lindemans stange. Pours a medium red amber with a one finger rose colored head with good retention and lacing. Aroma is dominated by raspberries with some light bready malt in the background. Flavor is also dominated by raspberry juice; fresh, aromatic, sweet and tart, hints of bready malt. An interesting finish very much like fresh squeezed raspberry juice with an interesting residual earthy flavor like biting into the raspberry seeds. Medium bodied with light creaminess and active carbonation. A nice, fruit beer with super realistic raspberry juice flavors. Sweet and tart like a fresh berry. I'm not a sour ale fan, but the fruit flavors here are fresh and well balanced with sweetness. The malt is buried under the fruit flavors, but supports the intense berry flavors well. I like this quite a bit.

Well, it is indeed straight-up raspberry soda, but it is refreshing and tasty enough, and I kind of like it as such, as a guilty pleasure. I was happy to welcome Founders to Washington State because I had other beers of theirs in mind, but I'll take this one, too...

I've had several fruit beers that I liked quite a bit, but this one isn't setting me on fire. It's got a lot of raspberries, that's for sure, but not enough else is going on for me to find it very interesting. It's not got much beer character, and isn't at all tart, so it is pretty close to a straight raspberry soda, albeit with some alcohol. Now, it is pretty well executed, if you like that kind of thing. I bought a 9 pack, thinking that it would be a good festive beer for the holidays. It would probably be better served cold on a hot summer day, when the cold fruitiness would be refreshing, rather than just uninteresting.

Poured from tap into tulip, tight 1/2 finger cream colored head. Clear light red in the glass slight lacing. Smells of raspberry. Taste pretty much the same, avoids the medicinal taste that can come with some of these beers. Slight tart finish, great drinking beer. Want fruit but not too sour this is ur beer.

355ml bottle poured into a pint glass.

Gorgeous ruby hue with a hint of dark amber, the texture is mildly hazed with thick soapy pinkish/reddish head that withstands with good retention before slowly subsiding to everlasting foamy film on the surface along with lots of sticky patches of lacing.

Raspberry is everywhere and lively pokes through a nose with touches of juicy, syrupy, tart, acidic, yet sweet and sour. Some earthiness in the middle as well as wheat twang and slight herbal yet medicinal scents, malt thereafter reveals in the background with a note of bread.

The taste is still good with a domination of raspberry ranging from fresh raspberry, raspberry syrup, and raspberry jam. It becomes much tart, sour, sweet, and acidic as the raspberry got development through the taste buds. Sweetness and breadiness closely follow trying to bring some balance and they are done well together with the help of earthiness, medicinal, and herbal notes.

Medium body with smooth mouthfeel from its lively carbonation generated nice crispness and very refreshing feel throughout the palate, finish is pleasantly dry.

Very good brew considering its style, there is some complexity hidden inside but still truly refreshing, easy drinkable and simply tasty without doubt.
