A- Vigorous pour of hazy pale copper gives way to a 1 finger white head. Sticky lacing and decent retention. Free flowing carbonation bubbles. My only complaint is that it is pale in comparison to most DIPAs.

S- Nice hop profile on the nose of citrus (ruby grapefruit), some pine and floral notes as well. Mango and peaches. Candy coated pale malt base.

T- Huge citrus leads the way. Rush of it comes at you with gusto. Faint touch of a spicy, pale malt backbone calms the hops just for a brief moment before the hop bitterness takes hold of the finish. Outstanding start, but the lack of malt leaves allows the finish to be a little harsh.

M- Full body. Wet over the palate before finishing dry. Warmth of the alcohol sets in nicely. Wonderful carbonation

O- Another well done brew by a fantastic brewery. Tons of hops as the pale malt takes a backseat causing this beer to taste more like an IPA than a DIPA imo. Nitpicking though...solid brew that i would drink again.

A - Cloudy orange with a one finger white head.

S - Grapefruit and orange with big dank hops.

T - Big grapefruit with a nice sweetness from the malts. Hops are present and balance the sweetness with nice bitterness.

M - Medium bodied with medium carbonation. A very smooth drinking beer.

O - Another outstanding beer from Founder's. Very smooth and easy to drink. If you're a DIPA you will love this.

A--Fairly transparent, golden, almost mass-produced lager-like. Head is nice but dissipates quickly.

S--Very strong, eye-opening aroma, dominated by grapefruit. Will beer be this one dimensional?

T--Thankfully, no, there is a great deal of complexity here, with a nice balance between a slight sweetness and hops that add up to more than a grapefruit bomb. Beer is potent and somewhat hot, with a a bitter finish that makes the back of the tongue curl. It's a pretty nice combo, somewhat reminiscent of Deviant Dale's.

M--A somewhat weird combination of dry and syrupy.

Overall, I am sympathetic to the reviewer who said he never knew quite what to make of this, and I'm not sure I do, either, but I just finished one 12 oz. bottle, I enjoyed it, but I now need a nap, and after the nap I will switch to something else. But I must say as a hophead I am enjoying the bitter, tongue-curling finish that lingers nicely. Certainly a quality DIPA that ipa lovers must try.

Appearance is light copper in color with a golden hue on the edges. There is just a thin layer of head that dissipates quickly. There are distinct grapefruit notes in the nose. There is a touch of malt and it is certainly hop forward. The hop bitterness oddly decreases on the finish, but there is a nice dryness that keeps this offering pleasantly bitter until the very end. There is a touch of lemon on the finish as well.

Pours a lightly hay orange color with some yellow thrown in. White head almost two fingers in size falls to ringed scum with some descent lace.

Aroma is nice bright hops grapefruit, pineapple, mango nice fruit hops abound. Malt base is just for holding the hops some light sweetness is all the malt notes you can pick up over the hops.

Taste is very nice just like the nose big fruity hops. Juicy Fruit notes everywhere with hints of sweetness to start, then good bitterness kick in grapefruit and pine bitterness. Some lingering pine and earthy bitterness lasts a while. No notice of the 9.4% at all.

Mouthfeel is only medium with some lightly peppy carbonation.

Overall this is very enjoyable, easy drinking a very nice I2PA. Wishing I had bought more then a four pack now.

A- Beautiful hazy dark orange color. Looks almost like orange juice in the light. Nice two finger off white head.

S- Aromas of grapefruit, pineapple, other tropical fruits, a slight sweet bready character on the nose as well.

T- Great hope profile. The grapefruit notes on this beer are fantastic. A nice tart citrus presence really mixes with the resinous hop flavors well. Slightly sweet but not overly. Great resiny hop bitterness on the finish.

M- Great carbonation, smooth, and very refreshing.

O- I was very excited to try this beer as I had heard great things. It definitely lives up to its recommendations and I would gladly drink this beer on a daily basis if it was easier to get around here. I can't stress how delicious the grapefruit notes are on this beer. Another great beer from founders.
