A. Semi-opaque straw gold color with a ton of bubbles and a big foamy white head that leaves a good deal of lacing.

S. Massive weed-like scent. Fantastic.

T. Very lovely floral hoppy taste. It taste like a weed inspired brew. Some sweetness. Not too overbearing on the hops or other tastes.

M. Nice tingly, refreshing feel.

O. Very lovely. Nicely balanced. A really flavorful IPA.

Pours a hazy, yellowish, lemony, cloudy pils-ish, with extensive, sedimentary like lacing forming after each drink. The color surprising for a DIPA, I think. Nose is hoppy, coniferous, citrus-iferous, delightful. Taste is rich, clean malt up front, little roasted notes (which is good too), sweetish on the first taste, moderating subsequently. Hop follows cheifly with citrus assertiveness first, then some O-chemistry following. Mouthfeel is on the slightly thick-ish side, marginally syrupy, but overall, a super interesting approach to a DIPA and one I'll buy again. This is less alchol forward, and although all hopped up at 86 IBU's, you'd never know it given the great balance of this beer.

Bronze colored with a thin wispy head that dissipates to a ring on the edge of the glass. Scents of citrus (tangerine and grapefruit) and a bit of pine resin or maybe spruce. Taste is citrusy and floral, with a lingering bitterness. Feel is light, with light carbonation.

This is definitely hop forward, but is still really excellent overall. It's high alcohol, but the hops are more prominent than any booziness.

Poured from 12oz bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: light golden hue with a light haze and a languid effervescence. Head is a finger of frothy white foam. Kind of plain for a double IPA, but still, looks good.

Smell: nice citrusy aroma with a medium-to-light intensity. It doesn't blow me away with volume, but its subtlety and clean fruitiness are very nice.

Taste: fruity, citrusy and lightly floral hops build out the beginning. A light malt backbone lets the hops take the driver's seat. The bitterness is smooth at the end and is strong but not biting at all. I like it.

Mouthfeel: good body and a silky smoothness. Carbonation is relatively low so this beer isn't hugely creamy, but the silkiness is very nice going down.

Overall: a nice, subtle Imperial IPA. Perhaps a bit too subtle, indeed, for the style, which typically requires a more in-your-face attitude. Still, very nice, and I would definitely have this again if given the chance.
