12/11/13 – Standard pint glass

A: Coppery orange body with some visible hop haze going on. Thick layer of khaki foam fluff on top. Ample stay power here with some nice cascading sheets of lace that cling to the glass after each sip.

S: Spicy grapefruit nose with a bit of herb and botanicals mixed in. Lightly sweet with some pale and caramel malts wafting from the glass. Comes together like candied orange peel. Pretty nice aroma overall with the Centennial hops doing their thing.

T: Slightly forward with firm malty breads and a caramel sugar sweetness poised however with a nice big floral hoppiness. Bright grapefruit zest and hop spice. Moderately bitter on the palate with some light alcohol noted. Juicy and quite resinous. This is a fairly nice single hop IPA. A touch heavier on the malts than I prefer but with enough hop goodness to provide that balance.

M: Moderate fullness with a nice creamy texture and even amount of carbonation. Light drying at the finish. Fairly resinous aftermath.

D: I can see why this is a crowd favorite. Especially amongst the East Coasters. Has a nice hunk of malt to it but with ample hop flavor and bitterness to balance.
Centennial is a good IPA hop for sure.
