Picked up a single at the Downtown Wine & Gourmet in Harrisonburg, Va in mid-September for $1.79.

Beer poured an unfiltered orange with a smallish white head.

Nose is pungent with floral and citrus hops.

Taste is pretty well balanced between the caramel malts and grapefruit hops. Hops win in the end as there is a nice bitterness lingering.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied and decently carbonated.

Overall this is a pretty solid brew, definitely try it if you get the chance!

Picked up a six pack from LCBO for $13.70 CDN, as I had never seen this in these parts before. Great purchase. Bottle #5 poured into a pint glass.

Appearance - Dark orange /copper color. Not significantly cloudy, but just enough so that the beer is not transparent. Small 1/2 finger head on top was poured and dissipates quickly. Some lacing left on the glass.

Smell - Plentiful hop aromas, some grapefruit thrown in for good measure. What separates this from other IPA's that I've had is the huge malt notes in behind the piney, citrusy scents up front.

Taste - Similar to the smell, with the dry roasted hops up front, and then transitioning into powerful malt flavors. Really nice balance and co-existence of the two here. Bitter aftertaste, but doesn't linger for too long, Despite all the flavors this is also quite refreshing.

Mouthfeel - Medium / low carbonation lends its elf to a refreshing beer in this instance because of the huge flavors and complexity. I was shocked when I realized this was 7.2% ABV, since it was so well hidden.

Overall - A very fine beer that i have absolutely no regrets purchasing and hope to see in stores again soon. I don't know if this is the best option for someone just starting out into craft beer, given it's complexities, but hop heads and beer enthusiasts of most styles can certainly appreciate this tasty brew.

Bright amber color, slight haze. Lots of small bubbles rising up. Thick frothy head.

Citrusy, floral, grassy, a little piney hops. Fruity, sweet malts.

Bright hop character; citrusy, floral, just a little pine and grass. Sweet bready malt background, caramel. Fruity finish, very crisp, a little dry. Body is full, slick, smooth, crisp, good amount of carbonation.

It's an outstanding beer. One of the best American IPA I had.
