Great beer. Reminds me of a Lagunitas IPA, one of my favorites. I was skeptical at first due to something that should never be a reason for judging a beer, bottle design. Until I got close to the package I did not notice it was angels lifting the beer into the heavens and I can say they did not disappoint. GREAT BEER.

A: Bottle poured crystal clear, copper the way I like them, with rich, lasting cream colored head, that laces all the way down the .5l tall cylinder. Close to perfect look and behavior.

Smell: Ample. Fresh hops, a field full. Woody, outdoorsy, pine forest, some grass. A coastal trail.

Taste: Ample, lots of hops bitter to start, but then sweetens and fattens out into a garden of flowers, citrus rind rings, and Zito's bread bakery. A dream of Greenwich village spring nights when blossoms are out, and bread is coming out of the oven.

Mouthfeel: Medium with good weight on the tongue, lovely finish. Feels stronger than the green flash, a bit more esters, a bit more nose and alcohol.

Drinkability: Close win in taste test with Green Flash West Coast IPA. Rated higher on looks and aroma, but not as inviting to have another as GF. Both are top IPAs and must tries!

REVISITED - 10-1-13 - Clear, deep, woodsy, very satisfying. Must try. One of the best.
AGAIN on 1-3-15 - In taste off with Stone Ruination & DirtWolf - this just wins.

Clear copper with tons of bubbles,two/three finger tan head, above average lacing.

Pleasant aroma, smells crisp, grapefruit rind and pine, some bread dough.

Taste mirrors the aroma for the most part, plenty of grapefruit rind balanced with a good amount of malt.Aftertaste is notably acrid and stays on the palate for a spell. A crisp drinking IPA, but not overly complex in the hop department, and relatively one dimensional.

Mouthfeel is medium, carbonation is lively but helps move things along, the lingering bitterness mid palate is not particularly the desirable type of bitterness that I crave.

Solid IPA and may be one of the better choices depending on your geographic location.Worth trying but it did not blow me away.

mad props once again to andrenaline for this one
A - slightly hazy golden orange, big thumb of white head retained very nicely, fairly consistent lacing
S - tropical citrus with grasses, subtle pine tar, and earthiness
T - big hit of perfume and fresh floral hop flavours with citrus accents, some grainy malt keeps it honest, very aromatic and flavourful
M - relatively light and well carbonated, mildish bitter and dry with the bitterness building towards the end of the bottle, very easy on the palate
O - big pleasant hop flavours that I don't see often enough, very easy drinking, this is a gem
