It's the one of the few IPAs that I can drink honestly, everyday. Drinkable, super drinkable. Loads of flavor, lots of citrus little pine. Amarillo and Centennial hops, they are the ticket

Did a blind taste test with this against some formidable non session ipas and chose this. This is now my go to session beer. Can be hard to find fresh in NE but will always pick up if under two months old. Props to the obvious 'packaged on' date on the outside of the 15 pack. Founders certainly gets it.

Look! This is not the tastiest beer in the lot. But, if you want a step up from lawn mower beer with some taste and some body, then this is your dude. If you are 30yo+ and want to get drunk and don't want your wife/friends/neighbours to think you are still a college jackass with your bud lights and millers, yet still want to tune at least 12-24 of these bitches, then this is your new go to. Light, has hops, not to rounded, but cant complain since the 18 pack comes in at only $17.99 here in Ohio.

Beautiful fresh piney hop smell. Taste is Fresh and pretty much all hops so not very balanced but I don't mind. Flavorful and great for the price. Really good straight from the can actually. yb

I need this in my life. summer beer is usually so boring in the name of sessionability, and steers away from the hops I love. this one does not. its bright golden and clear with an inch or so of white head. the nose is gorgeous cut grass and citra hops, or something similarly fruity, with big grapefruit notes and a touch of lemon peel. the flavor is the same, lighter malt body, big bold hop flavor that avoids being overly bitter, but packs in just a ton of fresh hop flavor. it really in a brilliant brew, and the 4.7% is just about right, as the name suggests, for all day drinking. perfectly carbonated with aggressive bubbles, light but not watery on the body, and clean and refreshing in the finish. it wouldn't be quite sturdy enough for me during colder months, but this time of year I can think of very few beers I would rather get into. I like it ice cold right from the bottle the best, preferably on the boat. a beer drinkers summer beer. my mouth waters for this when its fresh and freezing, and there is nothing better on the golf course.

The best session ipa in my opinion. Fruity and hoppy on the nose but smooth taste.

It's so effing drinkable. Goes down smoother than a MillCoorWeiser, with a shit ton of flavor. A++ Founders.

For someone who isn't a fan of IPA's, this was a contradiction. Light body but still plenty of hopp flavor. Goes down smooth to allow more consumption

This beer is a cloudy, yellow amber color with earthy/soil aromas. The hops are slightly overwhelming with a strong bitter finish.

This beer is pale and hoppy but light at the same time. It is somewhat cloudy and has a yellow color. I am not really a fan of IPA but it was a good one for someone new to IPA.

Oh I love this IPA! It is a bright golden yellow and a little cloudy. It smells of hops and is really crisp. It is easy too drink and for being an IPA it isn't terribly bitter. It actually tastes pretty amazing. It is really refreshing!

This beverage is straw-gold in color. It smells STRONGLY of hops. The hops smell kind of hits you in the face. The taste is strongly of hops, but it is not overwhelmingly bitter even though it has bitter notes. The body is good light-medium. For as hoppy as it is, it is fairly drinkable. For the type of beer it is, it is done well. It is just not my style.

L: The color is a golden corn, I would say about a 5 on the SRM. The head poured to about an inch and lasted about 30-45 seconds with a medium foam consistency and was off white. It is mostly clear and slightly hazy.

S: Whoa. Tangerine and floral notes hit the nose immediately mild herbal notes underneath and maybe a little fresh cut pine. But the citrus hits you right away. There is a definite sweetness but not sickly or overpowering. In terms of aroma they definitely hit the pretty layer without being weak or mincy.

T: Strong hops flavor but not too strong, I would say medium high. There is a grassiness with floral notes and resin flavors. There is also a definite malty sweetness making for a very smooth and well balanced combination.

F: Slightly dry and that is detectable after it goes down, but that is to be expected in an American IPA. There is some carbonation but not too much. Boy is medium on the lighter side of medium. No warming, but with a low ABV that wouldn't be expected.

O: The appearance is nice with an interesting slightly hazy golden color. The flavor is nicely balanced and feels like someone put as lot of time into it, but the aroma for me is where this beer shines. Man that smells good. Great beer, almost feels like a luxury.

Maybe it's not the best representation, but I'll take it for what it was - I grabbed this Founder's All Day IPA 20oz for $2.00 at HEB here in Beaumont, Texas. The look - golden. A little sticky, with a decent retention. I'm surprised. The smell on this one is nice, how could anyone complain? Have you seen the alternatives people?!?! Smell is of pine, hop resin, and just general dankness. Had I not known better, this would be a lot more expensive of a beer. In fact, lots of fools try to pass off beers as being "great" when they are no more fresh or better than this one. The flavor is also great, matching the hops, just a little light on the bitterness. The feel shows that it is a session ale - super light. I guess that's why people don't rate this higher or something? Maybe I just got a really fresh can, but I would say that this is a perfect introduction for someone to an IPA without all the barriers that might stop your everyday Natty Lite type drinker. I've drank a lot of beers and this one is not bad at all. There is a little bit of barley/grain that kind of seems to sit in the finish, but this beer is supposed to be a session ale, and it does what it does like a boss. Cheers.

Had this on tap at Spitzer's in NYC.

It comes in an orange golden color with a frothy head.

The aroma has some hoppy tangerine, grapefruit, and some tropical fruits. Wonderful hops and fruitiness.

There's a pop of bitterness. Papaya, tangerine, lemon peel, some orange. Then the middle has a biscuit malt, nothing too sweet, and then a gentle bitterness. It's quite hoppy actually.

In the end, it's quite easy and sessionable. It's towards the fruity IPA style "pale ale" that breweries are putting out these days. At 4.7% ABV, it really does have good flavor.

For me however, it lacks body and a punch of flavor. I had this right after Captain Lawrence Freshchester. I prefer Southern Tier Live in relation to the fruity hoppy pale ales.

I have decided that this is the official beer of Summer 2016. It's great on a hot day after being active in the outdoors. Very refreshing, with mild hops bitterness that is not overpowering.

A - Nice, clear orange-amber color, with a moderate white head, quick to fade, and some lacing.

S - A traditional IPA nose of grass, pine, and citrus.

T - Follows the nose, with lemon and orange, and a sweet malt element of burnt sugars and a bit of cracker in the background, fading to a mild bittering line that lasts.

M - The bitterness is moderate, but it sticks around. Some drying, but nothing too aggressive.

O - This is a good IPA that happens to be sessionable. That is rare in the session IPA sphere. Add to it that All Day is a reasonably priced offering from Founders, and you get a rock solid brew.

L: Clear honey gold with a rocky white head. Moderate retention. A film remains. Sheets of lacing.

S: Grapefruit and pine. The classic IPA aroma. It smells really good right now, though. Grapefruit juice as well as peel and zest and oils. Pine needle, orange peel, and light bready, toasty malt.

T: Big pink grapefruit juice, flesh, pith, and peel, all in perfect harmony. Big essence of grapefruit--sweet, sour, and bitter all at once. Lightly toasty, bready malt in the middle with hints of caramel and honey. A touch of orange and mango as well. Nice sticky pine on the back end, slightly resinous and vibrant. Finishes crisp, with a slight lingering stickiness of resin and a light piney bitterness.

F: Light, but not watery. Very well carbonated. Finishes fairly crisp and clean save a sticky hop resin that coats the palate.

O: I can't believe I haven't reviewed this earlier. This beer is the progenitor of the session IPA substyle, and still one of the best. A really great beer on its merits.

355ml bottle poured into a pint glass.

Slight hazy in texture and dark gold in color, thick frothy white head builds up and stands with good retention before slowly sinking to thin everlasting foamy sheet on the surface, plenty of sticky lacing web and patch appeared along the glass-side.

Loads of hoppy goodness with notes of citrus, kaffir lime, floral, resin, pine, and somewhat earthy yet grassy while malt is also there with notes of sweet breadiness and caramel.

Nice hoppy flavor with notes of juicy citrus, pine, oily resiny, there is a bit spicy also. Malt establishes as a flavor canvas with a sweet breadiness while it is hop again in later stage to wrap up all the things with a clean bitterness at the end.

Light to medium body with smooth mouthfeel from its lively carbonation, the feeling is crisp and refreshing, dry and clean finish.

Really go direct and not complex in order to be sessionable, anyway, it does not compromise in the part of hop. It still has vivid and lively hop character in both aroma and flavor.

Clear, amber body with a light, white head, middling retention.
Beautiful aroma, floral and fruity like a walk through an orchard; peach, mango, rose petals.
Toasted malts and some fruitiness, but not as much as the aroma, touch of pineapple, dry finish and the hops kick in at the perfect level, mildly pithy; light-medium body , good carbonation.
Overall it has amazing balance, and is interesting without being TOO interesting - could definitely drink this one all day.
