Founders All Day IPA
Look: straw, or golden color with tons of carbonation and a large off white fluffy head. I noticed there was not alot of lacing. In fact not much at all. That is kind of odd for an IPA.
Nose: Citrusy hops, lighter malts, grassy
Taste: Kind of the same as the smell. The hops are there and you can tell they are somewhat citrusy, but it is pretty light in flavor. I have had it on tap and it tasted better. This was out of the bottle. The aftertaste is the same as some of the IPA's, but it is just so much weaker and less bitter. If you wanna sit there and sip beers this is the one for you. Maybe good for someone transitioning from lagers to pale ales. It tastes more like a regular pale ale.
Mouth feel: very light, crisp, thin and refreshing.
Overall: It is more like a regular pale ale than an IPA and would be good if you can't hang with the strong hops bitterness of the real IPA's.

I have decided that this is the official beer of Summer 2016. It's great on a hot day after being active in the outdoors. Very refreshing, with mild hops bitterness that is not overpowering.

smells blandly hoppy, vague citrus with no distinguishing notes. the profile of this beer is really, really watery - hopped san pellegrino. there's a malt flavor similar to something like the Oscar blues ipa, and the aftertaste is dominated by this sticky dryness. if not for the lingering malt this might have been a serviceable cookout beer, but as it is I would rather have the cheap local lager alternative.

The light heavyweight champion of the world, your Session IPA champ - All Day IPA. A gorgeous pour and blast of hop aroma prelude a poundable session IPA that has defined a genre.

My first Founders brew doesn't disappoint one bit. I'd consider this a solid and satisfying IPA without the "session" modifier. That said, it would be hard to find a better session beer of ANY kind, especially pale ale or IPA. Will be seeking this one out again.

Did a blind taste test with this against some formidable non session ipas and chose this. This is now my go to session beer. Can be hard to find fresh in NE but will always pick up if under two months old. Props to the obvious 'packaged on' date on the outside of the 15 pack. Founders certainly gets it.

Poured into pint.
Pours almost clear golden with big off-white head, good retention.
Smell - clean citrusy, pine tones.
Taste - well-balanced with ample citrus hop characters
Light, crisp,
Outstanding session IPA.

L: Nice orange/amber hue. Modest foam head that dwindles.

S: Smells like summer. Citrus, sweet with light pine notes. Clearly, an "up north" Michigan summer beer that captures the elements.

T: From a mason jar, the taste is familiar yet non-aggressive. You do even pull faint lime notes instead of oranges or grapefruit.

F: Light and crisp in the mouth and not punishingly bitter at all. Clean, easy drinker.

O: Drinks too damn easy and is a great IPA to introduce people who are new to craft beer or for those that are looking for a summer alternative to mass produced beers "with lime."

Poured from a can to a shaker glass. Color is a light amber to gold with an off-white head, foam is thin and did not last long. Smells strongly of pine with a hint of citrus. A little malt flavor leading into citrus and pine with a bit of bitterness. Finish is citrus and clean, does not linger long. Feel is light and airy, easily drinkable on a hot day or as the name implies, all day. Good session IPA.

12oz can into pint glass
canned on 4/7/16
L- hazy orange, with choppy foam head, leaves a rocky cap on beer
S- tons of citrusy goodness, with hints of sweet malt
T- starts off tasting murky (is that even possible?) hints of lime, with a pleasant piney finish
F- light bodied but in a good way not watery at all, light carbo as well
O- Founders does a great job with the session-ability, light drinking, great smelling, with slightly sub-par taste

Bottled on Feb 24th and reviewed May 29th, so take the 90 day period into account. We're slowly going through the 'sessionable IPAs and there does seem to be a lot of them. The Founders version pours a nice, rich amber that says 'IPA' and has a good head and lacing. Aroma has floral hop notes which fade a little as the beer sits. Taste is hop forward and dry with some astringency. The beer is not as smooth as some of the others. Overall, a good IPA and easy on the ABVs. Founders does not know how not to make a bad beer.

Picked up a fifteen pack (sweet gimmick, like old Stroh's) today at Lowes Foods. Reddish golden color with spotty, soapy head with miniature lace. Nose is cirus based with a touch of bitter pine. This is a beer I've planned on reviewing for a while.

Solid bitterness throughout the flavor, mostly pine and lemon. Unfortuanely, I do feel there is an abundance of carbonation midway through the sip. The aftertaste, like the whole beer, is pleasant but restrained. Texture is mostly okay apart from the carbonation.

I guess I'd characterize this as the "light beer" version of an IPA if that didn't sound so preposturous. Decent, and probably tasty while paddling up a river but not an IPA to look for generally.

Gold in color with a small white foamy head.

Im getting piney and floral hop aroma.

Taste: mild bitterness up front, piney flavor follows, a bit of citrus as well but very minor. A little over carbonated for my personal taste.

A good low ABV beer with a solid hop presence.

Bottled 2/24/16. Poured into a clear glass.

Amber color with a modest white head. Nice color but nothing exceptional. Nose pleasantly hoppy. Piney hops first & foremost, and behind that a slightly more weedy smell. Taste is rather modest. Starts pretty thin, opens a bit but never really impresses. Hops over very light malts, not a lot of excitement. Mouthfeel clean enough, but not especially notable. Just not robust enough to excite me.

I LOVE this beer. It's bronze, golden color and off-white head appeals greatly to the eye. Smells hoppy, earthy and a bit of barley. Slightly bitter with strong hops and caramel notes. Enjoyable for IPA lovers! Wouldn't recommend to people new to trying beer especially if they do not enjoy hoppy flavors. I found this beer to be clean, refreshing but leaves just a slight bitterness to the tongue. I absolutely love this beer!

This is a great beginner's IPA. Very classic, and just simply enjoyable. Has a great complex array of malts, grains, and hops, and has a very clean finish. This has a very light color to it and almost has some pine tree notes on the nose.

From Club del Gourmet of El Corte Ingles El Duque. In Westvleteren XII small chalice. Shared with agu. Snack at home. After all high ABV beers Ive taken today (Aventinus Eisbock, Chimay Blue Limited Edition 2014, etc.) and the fact that its BB date is on Oct 16, hops are still noticeable and taste and body are pretty good for such a low ABV brew

Founders All Day IPA. This is me trying to expand my horizons beyond my go-to stouts. The IPA's I've had in the past have been quite bitter so I presumed they all were. I tend to like Founders so I thought I'd give this a try. It is only slightly bitter, not bad, I could get used to this.

Absolutely love this IPA. Really easy to drink so the name all day reads exactly that.
Golden yellow appearance
Aroma is piney, hoppy, and floral
There is a nice citrus and hoppy taste that is very well balanced and makes it easy to drink.

This beer is one of my absolute favorites. Very good dark caramel color, slight orange, with a white head. The smell is strong hops and other florals and citrus fruits. Very good on the tongue, definitely very hoppy. Strong flavors that last awhile, makes you want that second sip. Very refreshing, 100% recommend.

This beer was very good and somewhat strong. It appeared dark yellow and you can taste the wheat hints in it. Refreshing and smooth, can never go wrong with an IPA.

A nice session IPA.
Nicely aromatic. Hops and malt seemed in balance; better than many in the style.
Had with a medium-spicy pan-Asian dish and it went OK.
Also had with a mild Asian dish and it went better as the hops cleared the grease.
This won't be the best IPA you taste, but it does its job well enough with spicy food.
Overall, I gave it a 4 as I like Founders and its role as the pioneer brewer in regenerating Grand Rapids.

I've been drinking the double IPA's all winter but since warm temps are finally here in OH I want to get outside and get some work done at least somewhat sober! 8.5% - 11.5% would give me crooked mower lines so this is the perfect combination of great taste and lower ABV.

The color, smell and feel is about the same as other lower alcohol summer brews but taste is that of a higher end beer. At only $17.99 for a 15 pack is a great deal for a hot summer day when working outside.
