Look: A hazy, medium amber, like a dried magnolia leaf. Tons of bubbles, some flying upwards to slam into a fat, puffy white head, others swirling throughout the glass like lively fish in a tank.

Smell: A metallic tinge manages not to upset bright citrus aromas--fresh orange with a splash of lemon and a squeeze of lime. Malty underlayers are detected through a light scent of fresh grain.

Taste: The overall flavor profile is light enough to live up to the beer's sessionable reputation, yet complex enough to provide quality interest. Lightly toasted malt assuages the medium high bitterness created by an artfully balanced hop combination--earthy herbs and oranges (peels and all) meet the gold standard.

Mouthfeel: Perfect for a session IPA--medium light body, with lots of carbonation. The finish paints a stripe of dryness down each side of the tongue, but otherwise remains smooth.

Overall: It may be a session beer, but it's also unabashed about being an IPA: while not alarming, the fresh hops provide a good amount of bitterness. It's hardly an explosion of flavor, but it's not meant to be one. My one objective complaint would be the metallic character in the aroma. Subjectively, I would be happier with less earth and malt, i.e., a brighter taste, but I do believe the darker, more mellow flavor a provide a unique, appreciable roundness.

Poured from the can into a pint glass. Nice light gold color with a small head that fades, spotty lacing. Nice hop wallop on the aroma, fairly grassy and piney. Taste starts with a hit of sweetness, very light, and then the grassy and piney hops. Hint of grapefruit. Finishes dry and bitter. Very light in the stomach, crisp on the tongue. Right around session ABV, too. Nice beer!

Served from can into small nonic pint glass.

Look : Medium shaded golden body with 90% transparency. The head pours large at first and then settles to a small ring. Lacing is sparse but left behind nonetheless.

Smell : Lots of fresh cantaloupe right out front, followed by honeydew, mango, grape, watermelon, and some vinous resiny hop oil. Some aging can also be nosed. Loud bouquet from the word go.

Taste : Hop oil out front, followed by rinds of cantaloupe and honeydew. Faint pine, and a punch of resin. Buzzing tropical notes fade out the finish.

(Important Note ... If you drink this straight out of the can, you will get more pine than fruit, so if that's your thing, don't pour this beer and drink it from the can instead.)

Feel : Light bodied, a slight oiliness from the hop, and a taut creaminess from the malts. It ends dry.

Overall : This isn't the most sessionable IPA I've had, but it's more flavorful and it seems hard to strike that perfect balance. In a session IPA, this is more flavorful, less quaffable. On the pendulum swing it's closer to a typical IPA, probably 60/40 IPA/Session IPA. Still a good beer regardless.

Not much bite with this low ABV IPA. One-note smell and clear look. Not bad at all, but not something I'd drink consistently.

Two 12 ounce bottles cooled to approximately 50 degrees and consumed on different evenings from a Spiegelau stemmed Pilsner glass. I was pleasantly surprised by this beer and found it to be a welcome change from the overly hopped CA IPAs I really dislike. Nice balance, pleasant mouthfeel and refreshing. By far the best session IPA I've had (way better than Lagunitas Daytime or Oskar Blues Pinner). While I would probably not go out of way for this, if available at a bar or restaurant I could definitely see myself having this again.

For the style. Fairly aggressive pour, two fingers of head. A Hazy, quite yellow look. I was really impressed with the aroma of this beer. Lots of pine and citrus as with a lot of IPAs but this is a 'session' and still it really jumped right out of the glass. It just smelled rich and super fresh. The taste was perfect for a session IPA because you get a solid dose of hop flavor, slightly bitter, and then it's gone. The feel is refreshing and light. The malt was there just enough but the hops stand out by comparison. The calories are reasonable at 141, if that is a concern, and the lower ABV (4.7) would make this beer a good option if you want flavor but not a big buzz. Will definitely buy again.

Purchased a 15 pack of cans for a camping trip. Nice option, and it was on a great sale. Remember enjoying it a lot on the trip... but can't say the same for some of the guys I shared it with. Tried it again tonight with an aggressive pour out of the can. Attractive golden to light amber color. pour produced a huge, frothy off- white head, but it quickly dwindled to nothing. Nice smell, with some light hot and floral scents. initial taste was very week and somewhat watery. Aftertaste was tart, grapefruit. Further into the glass, the flavors seemed to build up and I got more of the tart- hop- grapefruit. Mouthfeel is still very thin, with definite citrus tart hanging on the tongue. Didn't catch any sweetness. Wouldn't pick to drink at home, but I'll stick some in my cooler for the next trip.

Pours a golden semi-translucent color.
Hops smell a little oxidized with some citrus burst.
Taste has a pleasant citrus and slight bitterness up front, the flavor is wiped away quickly by a watery body. There is no lingering aftertaste.

I picked this up at a local grocer. Low ABV but I think that is the purpose as the title is "All day IPA".

I liked it!

Is exactly what it is supposed to be. Feel is very light, almost waterry, but still packs a good deal of piney hop flavor. Extremely sessionable.
