Updated review from 5/25/14. Drank in a head-to-head blind tasting with Stone Go To IPA.

Bottle dated "5/5/14" poured into a snifter glass.

A: Pours a beautiful light and clear copperish color. Not much head. Slight lacing. A few bubbles streaming up fro the bottom of the glass.

S: Not getting much aroma at all from the glass. Later on I stuck my nose in the bottle and picked up a slight hop presence. Maybe some citrus and a little bit of pine. But not much at all. Not at all what I was expecting.

T: The IPA qualities come through here. A real strong bitterness pulled through with earthy and grassy hop characteristics and a slight citrus grapefruit peel taste. I get a hint of watered down caramel malt.

MF: The watery taste is part lack of any malt balance (typical of session IPAs) but also part from the lack of carbonation. So I don't get the crispness I want in a warm weather session beer. Very drinkable, just not thirst quenching.

O: Overall I am disappointed. There is a clear hop difference when comparing to Stone Go To, specifically in the aroma, which makes sense of Go To's 65 IBUs vs. All Day's 42 IBUs. I do get more of a maltiness the Go To which makes this easier to drink as time goes on. And in that case, All Day becomes the better session, while Go To is clearly the better IPA.

Pours a golden yellow orange with a small white head. Aroma is grapefruit, citrus floral hops and some grass notes. Taste is mostly citrus hops with a very tangy grapefruit note, some biscuit malt makes it way thru along with some fresh cut grass. Palate is a medium body, light crisp mouth feel with mild carbonation. This brew is seems to be a bit on the citus hops and tangy grapefruit side with some grass notes and a bit of biscuit malt. Overall its a still a good drinking session brew.
