Pours from bottle to glass with a light amber or maybe copper color. Head is about medium thick and dissipates pretty quickly.

Odor is very floral. A long of light floral as well as some green notes.
Taste is very nice. Feel is smooth and clean. Taste is of hops first obviously. Some citrus as well. Does not end with a lot of bitterness and leaves you wanting more.
Overall and very nice IPA. I like it less than centennial, but that is a high standard in my book.

Pours a golden yellow hue with some murkiness, and a nice fluffy off white head. Aromas of berries and summer melons hit me first. Flavors follow with some grassy hops, some grapefruit and a hint of tangerine. Thin mouthfeel with clean bitterness and carbonation. As a session IPA, this is up there with Easy Jack for benchmark of the style.

look: 4 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 4 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4

Appearance:
Th beer ours some light white and bubbly head that dissipates very quickly. The beer itself is a nice, clear copper.

Smell:
The beer has a strong hop presence with a nice resin smell. The pine smell is not the only smell. The smell also seems to have some floral undertones and tropical fruits with a hint of sweet malt.

Taste:
The beer has a strong pine taste with a slight hint of what might be lime with a nice bitter finish that rounds out this wonderful drinking experience.

Mouthfeel:
Dry, crispy, and smooth describe the mouthfeel.

Overall:
A fairly good Session IPA and worth having it on hand for parties or just to unwind after a long day. The key is not to expect a full blown Mother-of-All Hop Bomb but a flavorful and easy to drink beer.

Pours a light copper color with two big fingers of head. The nose has the mild essence of hops. The body is quite thin and the flavor profile is not even terribly hoppy.

A: Golden copper with some cloudiness, 2 fingers of off white head and some pinhead chunks of lacing. Very little carbonation.

S: Pine, floral, citrus, orange, red chilies, onion, black pepper.

T: Citrus, orange, orange peel, white grapefruit, pine needles, candied orange in the aftertaste though its not a sweet beer. There is a light amount of sweetness, and a good amount of white grapefruit bitterness that lingers on the palate.

M: Medium body, medium low carbonation. Quite dry.

O: I get it, they are going for a lower alcohol beer, but 4.7% is considered too high to be in the alcohol free category, so its considered an American IPA. Its got all the flavor of an ipa, but in this category where its not the best beer, but still solid. So it feels like a compromise in my opinion, and I would consider it a regular beer as far as alcohol. Nice to have the excuse of having it in the day though, so I’ll buy that.

Type: 12-oz. bottle
Glass: Hotel glass
From: Whole Foods in Tempe, Ariz.
Price: $2.59
Purchased: May 15, 2014
Consumed: May 15, 2014
Misc.: Bottled March 21, 2014

Poured a golden, pale, clear color with 1-to-2 fingers of off-white head that dissipated in a short while. Lots of bubbles coming up from the bottom. Below average foamy lacing along the sides of the glass. Minimal-to-below average retention.

Smelled sharp grapefruit, citrus hops, grapefruit rind, floral hops, tropical hops, bitter spices and tangerine. Yummy.

Tasted not quite as potent as the smell. Got sharp grapefruit, grapefruit juice, grapefruit rind and grapefruit with sugar. Grapefruit I tell you! Also floral hops, citrus hops, tropical notes and orange rind.

Light body. Thin-to-oily texture. Average-to-soft carbonation. Refreshing, slightly bitter finish.

Arguably the best session IPA I’ve ever had (know that there are probably five). Really good.

A sessionable-IPA? Isn’t that a contradiction in terms? Whatever the case this one works on its own right as an enjoyable, dare I say refreshing brew.

It pours a light golden color. Aroma is crisp, sharp and hoppy. Smells good. Tasty, too, with a very clear, very clean flavor of citrus-grassy hops and a sharp bitterness on the finish. I’d have another. With it’s low ABV I’d have a couple! Fantastic brew. I really enjoyed it.

Pours a gorgeous orange-honey color with a solid, finger high, off-white/light tan head. Only slightly hazy, light gets all the way through but is filtered and it actually makes the color pop more, in my estimation. Good lacing as well.
Smell is hops (grapefruit with a hint of pine), wood, malt, all balanced very well.
Taste is spot on with the olfactory presence, grapefruit/pine hops, wood and malt notes. Very well balanced with the hops being exactly where they should be. A light medicinal not creeps in during the aftertaste but does not detract at all from the experience.
Watery at the start and through the middle, the body fills in just at the swallow ending up medium. Carbonation is medium plus. For an IPA it is rather less biting than most though not smooth as I cannot bring myself to describe any IPA that way (save a double/imperial). Well named, I could easily drink several of these throughout the day. Sadly, I only have two.

Light golden in color. Clear. Forms a small white head that quickly reduces to not much more than a ring around the edge. Some light lacing. Aroma is pretty good: lots of tropical hops and juicy citrus with just a bit of pale malts. Unfortunately the taste isn't nearly as good as the aroma. The malts are rather low and while the hops are certainly present, they almost seem out of place. It's not that the beer is lacking balance, it's just the the hops just don't taste as great as they smell. Body is thin with a bit of a spicy feel in the mouth. Mild-to-moderate bitterness. Overall, something just seems off with this beer. I love hops and this beer has plenty of them, but the lack of an appreciable malt backbone does nothing for them. Sure, it's easier to drink than most IPAs, but I really just wouldn't want to.

12 oz bottle was poured into a pint glass.

Appearance: This beer poured a small head that reduced to a thin layer. It is a pale orange color with great clarity and slow moving bubbles coming up through the glass.

Smell: Grapefruit, tangerine, many, passion fruit, a little caramel, and resiny pine.

Taste: All the hops are there, but it seems like it is missing something. A little more maltiness and balance of flavors would be good. Still tasty though.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, light, low to medium carbonation, and extremely drinkable.

Overall: A nice session IPA like it was intended to be. Hoppy and light is not a bad thing and great for the warmer months.
