Pours a nice ruby brown color. Has a small beige head. Aroma is a mixture of things - coffee, malt, caramel, bread, and some hops. Taste is pretty much the same flavors along with a hint of fruit, maybe plum or blackberries? This beer has a bitter after taste but is overall not a bad beer.

This dark deep brown beer has a strong two and a half finger head with nice lacing.

I wasn't as impressed with the aroma as I had hoped to be. I found it to be a sweet alcohol aroma that didn't represent the delicious flavor as well as it should.

There was a caramely malty toffee flavor with a nice hoppy bitter aftertaste to balance it out.

This beer was surprisingly smooth and creamy.

A very good beer but I couldn't drink more than a couple as they are rather filling.

Appearance: deep ruby red color. Pours pretty clear with a darker, dense head
Aroma: caramel malts, slight hop, with a nice toasty smell
Taste: sweet caramel and toffee malts with roasted qualities
Overall: a great scotch ale! very smooth, especially when considering the ABV. Full flavor and body without being too strong

A: Dark brown like root beer in color. Produces a tiny white top that thins out to almost nothing but it is present for the rest of the drinking. There is also some delicate lacing that forms.

S: Something like Hard Apple cider smell early. As it warms I am getting banana bread and other bread smells.

T: The booze is not hidden - it hits early but is not overpowering or out of place. There is a sweetness and a slight breadiness. I am really having a hard time nailing down the exact flavors.

M: Clean and crisp with a slight coating sweetness.

O: Not at all bitter. Nice balance of flavors with the bold alcohol flavor out front. The other flavors work well and the solid mouth feel makes this easy to drink but I couldn't put back more than 1-2 at one time. This is my first Wee Heavy and I will investigate the style further!
