If you are looking for a fruity beer, choose this over the straw-ber-ita. Having it be on tap already makes it better than the other options. The coloring is a darker ruby hue to the golden ale that it is. The flavoring is more of a sour cherry taste mixed with spices that makes the taste remind you of cherry pie.

Great use of fruit in a beer! having it on tap made it all the better. The color of the beer is just amazing. It has a deep rudy hue to a golden ale. It is not a sweet fruit beer. It has a full fruit flavor, but comes through with more of a fresh, sour cherry taste. There maybe undertones of spice that make the whole experience reminiscent of a homemade cherry pie. This is a great Michigan Beer that I wish was more widely available.

On tap at the brewey.
A - Nice purpleish/ruby color with a thick white head.
S - Berry and sweetness up front. No hop presence. Almost smells like a energy drink or a soda.
T - Overwhelmingly sweet. Almost medicinal like Robotussin. Tastes more like a mixed drink than a beer. Sweeter than Summer Shandy or Berry Weiss.
M - Carbonation but much a one and done. Too sweet.
O- Once again, too much for me. I enjoy fruit beers if they aren't overwhelmingly sweet. I still need some malt or hop presence and sadly there isn't any in this beer.

On tap at the brewey.
A - pours a ruby red with a super white head that leaves a nice lacing down the side ofthe glass
S - nose is an abundance of cherries and berries...very apt description thus far.
T - taste starts off with sweet berry flavors. These move on to more flavorful raspberry and cherry flavors. Some spiciness and caramel are in the mix as well, which is a tip of tha hat to their Cerise. Ends, schockingly, with a lot of raspberry flavors.
M - full bodies with a nice amount of carbonation - good body on it
D - really nice fruit beer put out by Founders, in the ranks of Blushing Monk and Cerise. Really fruity and enjoyable...would definitely recommend it if it's on.

On tap @ the brewpub
A- Poured a very dark cherry red with a small layer of off white head
S - Tart cherries with some sweet pie-filling like aromas.
T - Tart cherries and sweet bready malts that come together like fresh baked cherry pie. The tart and the sweet are very well balanced.
M - Medium body with a decent chew. Light carbonation.
