Had this on draft at the brewery several years back. From my notes:
Black liquid.
Dark khaki head; thick lace.
Strong chocolate & coffee nose. Wow!
Medium thick mouthfeel.
Hops assert themselves in the taste. As it warms, coffee notes explode. Another coffee stout winner from Founders.

On-tap at the Founders tap takeover at Novare. $5.75 for a 12 oz. pour
A: Pours a pitch black color with a fingers worth of brown head that fades to nothing after a few minutes but manages to leave some nice lacing all the way until the finish
S: Lots and lots of coffee. Get some roasty malts and dark chocolate as well, but the coffee is the main show by a long shot
T: Again, lots of coffee. Roasted malts, dark chocolate, and of course the coffee are the main parts. Alcohol not noticeable
M: Medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. Very smooth and creamy
O: Not sure what the base for this is, but damn this is a good coffee stout. The 6.5% makes it extremely drinkable. Wish this was in bottles, but I assume the coffee would fade pretty quickly which would be problematic, as it's the main show. Glad I got to try it

Served on-tap at Founders.
Deep dark chocolate color with a mocha head that quickly disappears leaving some nice lacing. Nose is strong dark coffee notes with dark chocolate and malts. Taste follows the nose with a nice big dark coffee flavor upfront mixed with chocolately goodness and roasted malts. Mouthfeel is smooth with a sweetness to the chocolate that wasn't detected in the smell. It reminds me a lot of FBS only with more of a dark coffee presence. A great stout that I would love to see on tap during the months when FBS is not. Cheers!
