Notes / Commercial Description:
Mosaic Promise showcases two unique ingredients: Mosaic hops and Golden Promise malt. The versatility of the hop’s pleasing aroma and flavor characteristics and the traditional barley’s depth of flavor comprise this clean, rich, golden beer. We can brew complex beers with the best of them, but we recognize that there is also beauty in simplicity.

I’ve had my fair share of IPA, switching to the sessions such as All Day IPA when I have to. Problem with almost every session is they always have a tin taste... after a while, just can’t handle them.
This is what I would consider the perfect session... Very enjoyable

Pours with a thin head that fades very quickly, not a lot of lacing. Faint aroma is grainy, catty, Mouthfeel is on the thin side, feels more like a session ale to me. Color is a golden yellow, almost looks like a typical macro beer. The taste is really catty, not very pleasant really.

I'm a big Founder's fan but next to All Day Ipa, this is probably my least favorite. It just doesn't satisfy my desire for a beer. Don't set your expectations high or you will be disappointed. I bought 2 15 packs of this before I actually tried it and it's a chore trying to get through them, I really don't like this beer and I don't understand the high ratings for it, I will never buy this again, it's terrible,

Average looking pale ale. Nice head and a few fingers light head. Decent lacing. Not much. Faint malt and mainly mosaic nose. Mango pineapple slight pine and grapefruit. The typical mosaic hop with the slight onion on the front but a bit more pine in the back end. Pretty good beer. Needs more malt and more mouthfeel but good. 15 pack is more than I needed but I enjoy this one. Very sessionable. I can do without all these fruity apa ipa lately. Give me back my west coast feel and flavor. Mosaic is good, but I typically like it to be mixed in with cascade and citra or simcoe. Call me old fashioned. All that said I will buy this again.

Finally got my hands on this here in my part of NC. Went from a can into a "Cheers All" pint glass, poured a light yellow, almost clear I may add, with just a little bit of off-white foam that did not last very long. Very small amount of lacing noted upon foam dissipation. The aroma was pure bliss....nice fruity smell with just a touch of floral. I do not have the nose to be able to say what fruit or what floral smell, but I really liked it. The taste was just as sweet. Light with a nice pine & citrus flavor with just the right amount of bitter. The bitter was really noticeable on the sides of my tongue. It finishes nice and light, a bit fry with a lingering amount of the good ol' bitter aftertaste. This is a crushable beer if you ask me. Founders once again does themselves proud!

Poured into a half pint glass: color is straw, very light, quite effervescent, head is bright white with fine and small bubbles, some lacing and good lingering presence.

Smell is lightly fruity, as some have noted a good bit of lime like presence from the citrus, other dominant mosaic notes are subdued (ahem, pineapple); malt is lightly toasty maybe some honey.

Taste comes back to some of the more traditional mosaic notes, citrus and light tropical fruity with a subdued pineapple quality, good earthy hops as well; hint of toast and maybe some biscuit.

Mouthfeel straddles the line of a bit too much bitterness or at least drying bitter presence, but as it warms this subsides some but there is still a lingering biting hop presence.

Overall a good pale ale, i could go for a bit more maltiness but its clean, pale and hoppy and all components well executed.

Surprisingly light, easy-to-drink beer that I’ve been looking forward to drink this season. Nice golden color with just a little head and scant spotty lingering lacing. Smells great, nice citrus fruity hops and floral hops. Tastes of citrus fruit - orange, grapefruit, lemon - as well as some grain, caramel, floral hops, a little herbal hops and a nice malt backbone. Really nicely balanced and smooth mild mouthfeel with just the right hit of bitterness at the end. Great amount of carbonation. Definitely a sessionable ale.

(12 oz can, canned on 07.02.18... poured into a Belhaven pub glass)

L: crystal-clear, pale gold liquid - looks like an AAL, except for the fact it sports a tall, open, spongy pad of white foam, but which broke down rather quickly, leading me to wonder if the warm shelf storage at the store affected it... suds all but vanish, leaving a spit collar, little lacing

S: dried dark berry fruit aroma dominates, highlighted with some hints of pine and possibly orange flesh, soft note of floral-y perfume... malt is faint (at first), buried in background but lending a baked bread, cookie-like grain aroma

T: bright flowery and citrus essence opens up at the top of the palate, with a little below midway down containing the dry (as in sweetness) berry flavor, rounded out by the dry biscuity malt softly lingering at the bottom... immediate defining qualities is its dryness, pungent peppery pine aftertaste, berry shading blotted in the middle

F: lighter-bodied, soft resinous texture, quiet finish made more crisp by its dryness and menthol coolness via the hopping and touch of clean alcohol

O: I could see grabbing a sixer of this, as it somewhat reminds me of a few streamlined FW hop-sculpted ales which I do love dearly... I need more single-hop beers in my life

Canned 7/2/18 (23 days ago)

L - 1.5 finger sparse head atop a translucent yellow body.

S - flowers, spice, oranges, pine.

T - flowery hops balanced by citrus and pine. Grass. Melon. Very clean middle. Moderate bitterness. Low sweetness. No booziness.

F - medium body and carb.

O - not the best ever use of Mosaic, but great flavor for a session.

Pours a slightly hazy gold with a thick head. Smells distinctly of tropical fruits, with toasted malt and a little citrus and floral aromas. Very enticing. Similar taste. The flavors are very balanced, and keep you wanting to come back for more. There's a moderate bitterness and a dry finish. Nice and smooth.
