Served as a sample at John Harvard's. The color was light gold, with no head to speak of. The smell was a very light malt. The taste was very little maltiness with a slight bit of hops. Mouthfeel was very light. Drinkability-wise, once I got through the sample I didn't really have an interest in much more.
Though I certainly understand the reasoning behind having a light lager at a brewpub (either that or macros), I'm just not going to drink them, which is ok, since they're not for me. Still, better to have their own than macros, and for the style it is what it is.

I'm reviewing this vs. other light beers.
Appearance:Clear, golden-amber color, thin head with little lacing.
Smell: Mostly a malty sweet smell, with hints of honey.
Taste: Again, mostly a malty taste with a very light hoppy bitterness in the background.
Mouthfeel: Crisp, good level of carbonation, nice dry finish.
D&N: A "light" beer in name only, this beer has quite a bit of body, good taste, this would make a fine session beer.

Pittsburgh locale:
Appearance: Straw Color light fizzy white head minimal layer of lacing. Aroma: Grainy sweetness light barely noticeable hops. Tase: Spritzy graininess slight sweetness this seems like a macro here. Mouthfeel: High carbonation just like some seltzer water. Drinkability: What more can one say about it, I'm not a light beer guy in the first place and this is a sorry one.

Pittsburgh Location.
This was the first beer I tried. It has been my experience that often times, the quality of the light offering will indicate what is in store for the rest of the beers. Not so in this case. This is not a well done light, unless the intention is to almost directly mimic some of the macro offerings. Pale yellow color, virtually no aroma. Grainy, watery flavor. A hint of bitterness on the finish. Grainy, harsh mouthfeel. OK drinkability. I was worried after trying this one, but there are some fine beers at JHBH. Just not this one.
