Served in a goblet at Haymarket.
I have no idea how I've continually missed this one all the time out here, but thanks to Haymarket I'm given another shot at redemption. It pours a clear brass topped by a finger of cream foam. The nose comprises light leek, toffee, pine needle, and light rye bread. The taste brings in more of the same, along with a healthy-enough dose of grass. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a sorta/kinda drying finish. Overall, an okay rye IPA but nothing I would make an effort to try again.

This was one of three seasonals at the Palatine location. Served in an Imperial, the beer was a chill hazed bronze with a dense but disappearing beige head.
The beer had a fresh aroma of some pine, a bit of spicy rye and caramel mats.
This was hopped more like an APA, but I like that they lot the Rye shine. There is a bit of pine based bitterness, some bready slightly sweet malts and the spice from the Rye lingers in the background. The beer is pretty balanced and obviously fresh.
The mouth was a bit coating which I like. All-in-all, a pretty decent Rye beer!

The beer poured a cloudy amber with an off white head. The aroma was like an immersion in rye. The taste was a straightforward dousing of rye with a bit of sweet malt in the background. The feel was medium and wet. This was a nice rye beer, if you're looking for a full bodied rye flavor.
