Good selection and clean atmosphere and reasonable prices. Large parking lot with easy access and highly visable red neon sign. Hand trucks are readily available to help get your beer to the car.

Hours are kinda poor, they close at 7pm on a Friday night.

Staff is knowledgeable and friendly and they have a price list on the wall where you can look up a beer yourself, but it just tells you the price, not if it is available or where it is located.

Offers products from many breweries and usually stocks rarer items or will order upon request.

Stopped by here a while ago.

Kunda Beverage looks like your average liquor/booze/beer store with the neons and all those sale priced BMC signs. A big sign with KUNDA on the front. Spot is fairly large but drab as hell and 70's looking. Beer is all over the place, but organized fairly well. A good but not the best selection in the area as far as cases go, I have a few other distributors up my sleeve. Service is pretty shitty, not engaging at all. I tried to reserve a case and weas told on the phone, "Yes, your the 1st to reserve this one, it's yours. I get there and they have no recolection of the conversation or my name and number that they supposedly wrote down. Fuck Them. The beer is here, you just have to know what to get and make sure it's fresh, no need for help, when none is there. Im very glad Origlio bought out Kunda's RR contract, they don't deserve it.

They have a very good selection, well organized but a bit pricey. I know it's King of Prussia but still seems high. Service left a little to be desired - was looking to see if they had or could get something for me and it was like I was bothering them. I know I am new to the area and not a "regular" but having such a good selection you would hope that they would be more passionate about the product - maybe I was spoiled by my previous go to place....
Also saw a previous post about old stock - still true, you need to check dates carefully.

I live right around this place. Very nice lay out for browsing, big bright open space and signs around each section for pricing.

They have all the PA micros and a very nice selection of out of towners as well. The import selection is nice too.

The prices are a bit expensive, and the there have been times when I was in here and have not had someone ask me if I needed help for a half and hour. And I just wind up getting something after the half hour. But sometimes you need another persons opinion to help make you pick something quicker.

They are very easy to get to and get in and out of as well, which is always a plus.

I just found Beer Yard in Wayne and that will be my first choice. This is a close second.

This place is about 10 minutes from my house.
I decided to check it out the other day.

Big old school sign out front clearly states, KUNDA BEV.

Pretty decent size distributor inside. I was suprised at the variety of beer they carry.
Lots of imports and lots of "top shelf" brews too.
I was there about 10 minutes before anyone asked if i needed help.
Overall i stayed about 20 minutes just looking at the different cases.
This is a decent place that i'll probably check out again. Most places near me do not have this much variety.

Kunda is located close to my office, so it is convenient in that respect, but damn the traffic in KOP sucks!

Nice store layout, big, bright & easy to find everything. The local, regional and some international brews are each grouped individually so it is easy to find if you know the general geography your brewer of choice is located.

Service is quirky, they seem to like to hole up in their little booth and pay little mind to the browsing customers. They are however polite if you approach them.

Selection is a tad above average, nothing earth shattering the several times I've been there, but certainly way better than your typical BMC distributor.

I tend to hit this place for the more available micros, their prices are reasonable, but often have to/prefer to hit the beer yard for the not so easy to find brews and one-offs

Stayed with some friends in the area who lived right by here. Stopped in despite already going beer shopping a few other places. When you buy beer in PA is really is a heaven/hell scenario. The heaven is the mind blowing selection. All the Troegs, Weyerbacher, and other assorted PA brews. Founders, Bells, Russian River, Port and other crazy things as well. The sight of cases of Lost and Found and Damnation was something to see. The case of damnation was $120 if I remember correctly. The service was there and asked if I needed help after about 20 mins then quickly retreated into their little booth. The only complaint I could think of has more to do with the PA beer laws than this place. Wish I could have picked up a few single bottles. I have been to Yard House in the past and this place stands up.

Right around the corner to my house, but still not my primary shopping place.

Bigger place, nice selection, and decent prices since they have the traffic volume to sell a lot of beer. You can buy more than just cases which is nice compared to some other places around here. I noticed the guys working there don't jump to help you out unless you've been walking around for a while. Generally I'm not sure what i want when i go to get some beer, and often want someone to sell me something i havent had before. Beeryard is better at that than Kunda.

Overall a nice place. I don't mind going there, especially if i know what i want, but i generally shop elsewhere.

By PA distributor standards, Kunda is a gem. I'm usually not a big fan of buying cases, but when I do I inevitably end up at Kunda. They carry a very nice selection. I'm partial to Saranac and they have more selection, ten times over, than any other distributor I've ever visited. I was able to buy a has of 12 Saranac Pale Ale Growlers. The prices tend to be slightly on the steep side, but that's the price for an awesome selection. There website is also very helpful as they maintain a detailed listing of their selections on line. They have a small section of "closeouts" and brewery merchandise that adds to the "ambiance."

Stopped on a Monday about noon. The store was empty of shoppers, except for me. The store is nicely arranged with imports in one area, North American microbrews in another, and the macros in another section.
The selction was good, but not anything I haven't seen closer to my home. The stock looked fresh. There was a markdown area, but somethings looked very old, but others apperaed good. I purchased a case of Harpoon brown ale from this area, and it is perfect.
Prices seemed reasonable, at least what was marked. There was large cardborad poster with all the aitems and their prices, but there was a line drawn through all the prices.
A nice place to stop if you are in the area, and a good place if you live nearby, but not a destination to travel a distance for.

I decided to stop by this beer distributor to check things out. Usually I head over to the Beer Yard, but wanted to try something new.

The selection is good but not amazing. They have the usual crap, local craft, some West coast offerings, and a handful of worthy imports. I found some Rogue I2PA and it was well over a hundred dollars for 6 bottles (Which is par for the course. I hate not being able to purchase A bottle if I stumble across something intresting). The dude there was nice.

The quality of the beer was good relative to 90% of the distributors in the area. Found some Stone, DFH, Rogue, Southampton, Great Divide, Lost Abbey, and so on. I ended up getting SN Celebration for 30 something dollars.

Overall a decent distributor with a nice selection.

I sought this place out when in Philadelphia and was on the whole impressed, but completely didn't realize this place only sells beer by the case. Cases and kegs, really, but no individual bottles, which is a shame since their selection is pretty damn good. When I heard about the only store outside California which legally distributes Russian River, I had to go there, btu thank God I called first; all the RR is presold and shipments come in pretty infrequently. In addition, only a few of the RR beers can be bought by the case, and you can bet theyre very expensive. Those not sold by the case are sold by the draft keg and you can bet THAT is even more expensive. But you gotta do what you gotta do to get good beer I suppose. I ended up buying a case of Ayinger Celebrator, which was expensive but as I said before, we'll go to whatever lengths we see fit for good beer.
Staff was knowledgable and didn't seem to mind me coming in right before close. Great place, but I'd definitely call before going just to make sure they have what you want in stock.

Stopped in here this afternoon for the Hop 15. Last case they had on the floor, split with Clockworkorange and psycohops and another beer lover Paul. The place looks cool on the outside with the old school lettering in the sign, but inside it just looks old. Some cases had more dust on them then a barn floor. They had a couple cases of beer from a now defunct brewery with a best by date of 2005. Uhh...I passed on those. Really good selection if you're in the area. Just remember the PA case law and make sure you bring enough money.

This is a place to buy cases. No 6 packs, no 12 packs. Cases! Very good selection. Duvel, St. Bernardus, 5 different Dogfish Heads, Stone, Magic Hat, and the usual BMC. Cases. There was only one person working behind the counter, who was friendly, but not overly helpful. None of the cases were marked with a price, although there was a pricelist hanging in one of the rows. There were a few mixed cases, but nothing worth purchasing. I'll pass on this place in the future. There are still too many beers I haven't tried, and I can't bring myself to buy a case of anything yet. But, if you want a case of something, this place is worth a stop.

Stopped here when I was in the area, as it was the only place listed on the Stone website that distributed their beer. The selection was impressive; a good Euro selection, the usual locals (what was weird was that they only had 4 cases of Troegs out), some local rarities (HopWallop and Storm King and SlyFox Black Rasp) and a good, not great selection of American Micro's. The Stone selection was awesome (VE, RIS, Ruination, AB) but Russian River was on the list and not there. Dogfish Raison de Extra was there (and the $150 price tag that comes with the case).

The service was average, when average means that I was content to look around by myself for some beers that I can't find in the City and available to check on a beer's availability. Two cases ran me about 80 bucks (Stoudt's Fat Dog and Dogfish's Festina Peche); nothing out of the ordinary there. The only problem is that to get there the Schuykill Expressway plays a prominent factor, which if you've ever driven it out of Philly between 3 and 6 on a weekday you will know what I mean. All in all, a great store. You can easily spend 30-45 minutes there, pick up a couple really good cases and not pay an exorbandant amount.

I stopped in here just to see what it was all about one afternoon. Driving down Henderson, I spied it on my right. The huge old-school movie theater neon lettering spelling out “Kunda Bev” is really hard to miss.

Inside, the place seemed rather drab. A coat of paint or some beer decorations would work wonders here. It’s a good thing their beer supply made up for the crappy interior. The beers on hand were very nice with a great spread of Belgians and all of the usual local suspects, along with the ubiquitous BMC, Mexican, German and Asian standards. I didn’t spy any jaw droppers here (who wants to spend $150 on a case anyway?), but what they had was admirable. If you live closer to here than the beer yard, I’d stop by for sure.

My friend works at this place and I decided, while I waited for him to get off of work (about 40 minutes) I would walk around and write down some of the brands that I wanted to try. I walked down one aisle and promptly returned the pen and pad to the cashier I was so overwhelmed by the selection. I talked with my friend and the cashier about different kinds of beer and what they recommended proving that the people that work here know beer. Great place that sells great beer. If you're looking for a certain beer, this place most likely has it or will have it shortly.

This is a great place to find many imports and microbrews. They have an extremely knowedgable chashier and if the rest of the staff doesn't know they will direct you to someone who does. The prices are reasonable, but the hours are a little strange, but I guess that is to be expected for a place that focuses on wholesale. They have a tremdous "blow out" section where repacks and just out of date cases are kept, and frequently there is many good beers and buys there. If there is someone on "the floor," and you ask about something in stock (but not in the retail section of the store) they are more than willing to go back to (I think there is two) of the wharehouses and find it four you. In my opinion the best aspect of Kunda Beverage is their price lists. They are put up about the store and are seperated into craft brews and imports as well as ordered alphebetically. Everytime I have looked they have been up to date. Don't drink and review.

Nice place to buy cases. Prices are reasonable given the area, and the cashier is always willing to give me info in what is and what isn't in stock. It's nice to see a price list for all their offerings also.
They have a great selection too. If you don't see something, they may have it in their wharehouse in the back(...like 25 cases of Southampton Grand Cru !!! ). You see all the typical local brews and the more popular ones from farther away. Imports are also very well represented.
I go there on a regular basis to see the deals in their repack and recently expired section. Got a case of 2004 Omme Abbey 750's for about half price. I left some skidmarks in my undies after seeing that - SOLD!
Overall, a great place to buy if you're looking for a decent deal and something different.

Quality: Everything appeared to be fresh and stored properly

Service: Not to talkative....but not rude either

Selection: This is this strores strong point. It was the reason it was recomended to me. In addition to having the macros and micros you'd expect, it also has some rare looking Euro brews....but these are two pricey for me. What makes this store special is that they will combine different types of beer for "variety" cases. These are usually priced around $25 and often include impressive selections like Ommegang and Victory. Great deal

Value: Everything seemed reasonably priced
