This is a tiny sausage/beer shop right on Church and Market, right between Toronado and the Castro. Brewbacca took me here after a long day of beer and I was in for a surprise.

This is a tiny shop in a busy part of town. It's open with a counter for ordering and a smattering of tables. Well lighted, colorful.

World Sausage Grill has an awesome selection of sausages and beer, but let me focus on the beer. From Kwak to Maudite to Tripel Karmeliet, this joint has a modest collection of bottles. They are predominantly Belgian with choice selections from everywhere. It is almost all quality. After talking with the beer buying for a bit it is clear that he takes pride in the selection and is constantly hunting for better beer. I can only imagine the amazing pairings you could do in a place like this over a few months of experimentation.

The couple sausages of Brewbacca's I tried were killer. He had a sweet Hawaiian sausage and another. Their selection is eclectic and tasty. This is a great little place to grab a bite and have a good beer. Recommended.

Beer and good sausage, what else could a beer lover need, maybe a foam dome!! (Imagine a foam dome with your favortire beligian and a red hot in you hand, watching Da bears take on Da Eagles....aaah heaven)
Well either way I found this place a while ago, from reading about it in the local paper, I had been to the other sausage grill next to the Toronado before and knew these two place were related in a way, so I went to see if it was any good, and oh man was I in heaven.
my eyes buldged at the belgian selection, they had Don de dieu, by unibrew, pater, some japanese wit and pale beers, they also had a couple locals lagunitas, and sierra nevada.

One of the owners of the place (it's run mom and pop style) was very knowledgable about what she carried and recommended a strong pale, to go along with my sausage, so she new her stuff, and we chated beer for a while, which was great to here that a resturantur that knew there beer, insted of getting the usual reply from a server, "I think it's from beligum?" duhhh!!!
Besides the beer they had saugage in fourdifferent catagories, chicken, beef, pork, and lamb, each has several different choice per catagory, my fav's are the lamb, "baahhh." On top of that they offer a boat load of condiments and toppings, Which are to many to list, but I stick with the grilled onions and spicy mustard, can't go wrong there.
Another bonus to this place is that they are always watching the game either the niners or the giants are on the telly.
so if you around town and need a to get over the saugage fix this is the place to go, so Drink, eat, watch the game, and be merry.
then walk a couple block to beer heaven... the Toronado
