500ml Bottle from Good Spirits Co, Glasgow (£2.40):
Dark caramel brown with a thumb sized, bubbly head that settles at about half that after a couple of seconds. The beer is dark but clear & the head turns to a patchy after about a minute.

Lots of peat & alcohol with a strong malt presence with some grain and dark chocolate. There's hints of sweetness but it is almost overpowering from the peat & alcohol.

Very malty to begin with, lots of peat & to a lesser extent some of the alcohol makes an appearance as well. There was a smoky taste to the beer around the middle with some chocolate as well but the sweetness was missing.

Smoky with bland feel initially, although it was medium bodied & hints at some sweetness. Carbonation is soft and there is more alcohol that I'd expect but it's definitely a beer that improves at least a little once it's had time to settle.

This was a fairly poor offering from Williams Brothers. It did improve as nice went on and it was given a chance to settle down some but it's definitely not one of the brewery's better offerings I'm afraid.
