I'm a bit perplexed by the low scores on this beer. The cap indicates that it's from June of 2017, and the last review is from February, so maybe a new batch? (The bottle that I drank had an entirely different label). Maybe the Swedes don't like sours as much as I do?

Deep ruby hue, reminiscent of grape juice. Light, whispy head around the rim of the glass and in the center. No lacing.

A decent amount of lactic acid on the nose. Lightly salty and grainy. Jammy and notes of preserves. One of the more forward beers as far as black currants go.

Lactic upfront with a nice vinous quality. Moderately tart, with a slightly sweet grainy finish. The flavor falls off rather disappointingly at the end.

Medium bodied with low carbonation. It's a Berliner. You know what you're getting. Dry with a lingering sour finish.

Dugges seems to make fairly one dimensional sours, but that doesn't mean that they're not good. Probably not worth the price that I paid for it (£5), but I'm happy that I tried it.

The best parts of this beer can be experienced without drinking it. The translucent crimson color of the poor is inviting. The fruit forward character of the smell pulls you in even more than the look of this beer. Next you take your first sip and the taste falls short of the look and smell. You can definitely taste notes of black current, but, the sour base is mild and lacks finesse. It is neither smooth or funky.

The colour is dark wine-red (50 EBC), the liquid is clear. The finger thick airy head is pink-lilac, it dissolves quickly leaving no lacing.

The smell is fruity with notes of fresh black currants, currant leaves, some sour earthy notes and cherry jam. Caramel in the background.

The taste is sour/tart with smooth notes of black currant, both fresh and boiled. Notes of green grapes and malic acid candy. Light to medium body. Lemon/lime juice in the aftertaste as well as black currants, fruity water ice, tart cherries and raspberries. Lemon acid and fruit candy in the finish.

The carbonation is very strong, the manny small bubbles are long-lived. The liquid is dry and harsh.

More intensive than any other of the other beers in the Nordic Sour beers I have had. It is very tart and very black currant. A bit too much for me.

Hazy, dark blue-red beer with a pink head.

Nose: Tart, sour, black currant, red berries, acidic notes, lemon and lime.
Taste: Definitely sour, black currant, raspberrie, rhubarb, lemon balm, sweet malt and tart red berries.
Body: Medium to light body. High carbonation. Dry finish.

A great summerbeer!
