Slight haze, mostly clear. Razor thin bubbly head.

Aromas of yeast, brine, and lemon sour patch kids.

Lots of green apple character, followed by red apple, lemon, lime, sour patch kids, salt, yeast, and coriander.

Feel is kind of starchy, but mostly clean and carbonated.

Overall it's pretty decent, I wouldn't pay full price. Luckily this was in a bargain basket at a Hy-Vee.

L: Poured from a bottle to a weizen glass. Had a golden brown color and a hazy consistency. There was a small, foamy head that quickly dissipated. Not much lacing to speak of.

S: A fair aroma of wheat, sea salt, malt, and an herbal quality.

T: Tasted of a hint of the typical gose sea salt, light malt notes, a bunch of wheat (almost too much), the herbal quality (the advertised juniper), and a tinge of smoke. The flavor was more like a wheat beer than a gose, with the wheat dominating it. Not quite balanced as it should be.

F: A low amount of carbonation with a lively finish. Light-bodied.

O: Definitely an uneven beer. Not the worst gose ever, but not particularly memorable either.

Pours a clear, gold color. 1/6 inch head of an off-white color. Poor retention and poor lacing. Smells of salt, tartness, hint of hop, slight cream, smoke, and slight citrus. Fits the style of a Gose. Mouth feel is smooth and crisp, with a low carbonation level. There is also a noticeable tartness. Tastes of smoke, bacterial funk, slight citrus, hint of salt, hint of pale malt, and a hint of rye. Overall, weak appearance, good aroma, body, blend, and complexity.

From the tiny bottle in a snifter. This nice gose pours a medium golden color with a modest quickly dissipating head of foam that dies down to a thin ring. Nose of salt, wheat, and subtle berry notes. For the style I am surprised I enjoy this with a super tart wheat and light berry note followed by a mild salt and yeasty funk on the rear and aftertaste. Moderately refreshing, medium light mouth feel and a touch of smoke on the finish. Nice overall, not an everyday drinker, but a nice change.

Cheers

This beer pours a dullish yellow with a rather small, very quickly dissipating head. The aroma offers of a slight gamy, salami-like odor, as well as lemon, sour orange, and a touch of pine. The flavor is, above all else, bracingly sour. The sourness attack you right away, but then does fade into yeast, salty, and herbal flavor. The mouthfeel is thin but coating. Overall this is a very different and cool beer. It has a huge punch of sourness, but there is also a lot more going on. Well worth the price.
