A: Pours a relatively clear orangish amber in color with some light to moderate amounts of gentle carbonation streaming from the bottom of the glass and some golden peach highlights. The beer has a finger tall foamy dark beige head that reduces to a medium to large patch of thick film and a very thin film covering the remainder of the surface with a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Light to moderate aromas of fruity malts and citrus/grapefruit hops.

T: Upfront there is a moderate flavor of caramel malts with only the slightest hint of fruity (apple) sweetness. There is a light to moderate amount of citrus/grapefruit hop flavors and there is a light amount of bitterness that fades pretty quickly.

M: Slightly less than medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly smooth.

O: Overall this is an interesting brew that has nice flavors and aromas while being easy to drink. Slightly maltier than I prefer them, but I could easily have another of these.

Poured from a brown 16.9 oz. bottle. Has a bronze color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of malts, fruits. Taste is malts, floral hops, light citrus, no real bitterness to speak of. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall, not really what I expect from this style, but a good beer nonetheless.

Poured into a Dogfish Head pint glass. Pours a medium coppery amber with a half finger off-white head with decent retention and lacing. Aroma of biscuit malt, grassy hops, citrus and a hint of pineapple. Flavor is mild stone fruit and citrus, citrus rind, grassy hops, finishing with an astringent, almost quinine bitterness that lingers for a long time. Medium bodied. The hops do not have much herbal flavor but intense in bittering. Unfortunately, neither the malt body nor the hops are interesting enough to carry the intense bitterness. I'm a hophead, but would have liked a bit more balance. Sadly, it is impossible to judge the age of this IPA, although the bottle was fresh from the distributor. I'm underwhelmed as it is and hope it is better fresh.

This is a pretty decent IPA. It's too salty overall, and that blocks the whole beer from really showing anything subtle or interesting. Punches you in the mouth a bit and that's that, for the most part. There is a covering of citrus character, but it provides little beyond what you get smacked in the mouth with. This has some potential, but the wrinkles need to be ironed out if someone were to make an interesting and unique beer. Awesome nose though.

Very good APA except for a little oxidation. Poured at a good temperature with a large, foamy, cream-colored head that slowly settles and some lace. Color is a clear orange amber with a couple of bubble trails. Aroma is hop, malt, yeast, wet cardboard. Flavor is similar to nose, hop is kind of subdued, but fitting for style and there's a little pine and citrus plus sweet is also mild, bittler dominates, but not overly so, wet cardboard is just there, and carbonic tang is just right. Body n carbonation are perfect. Finish is like flavor, on the long side, and would be so much better, but for the oxidation.

Pours a hazy orange-ish to yellow with a light tan head. In the aroma, mellow citrus hops. In the taste, dry malt with a nice small citrus hop. A hop bite and a medium to lighter bodied mouthfeel, with a dry small malt in the aftertaste. A nice mellow hop and nicely balanced.

Acquired at Brooklyn beir merchants by my wife for a stocking stuffer. (excellent right?)

It's a very good example of an American pale ale. Better than average but nothing really to write home about.

Hops could be a little more forward both in aroma and flavor, and the malt could be a little more pronounced in the flavor.

Again not bad, but with the plethora of this style available in the US, just not worth it.

A: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had an amber color and a hazy texture. There was an inch of foamy, fairly long-lasting head. Good lacing.

S: Smelled mostly of hops, citrus and some malt. Very underplayed.

T: Tasted like it smelled: A mild hoppiness, citrus (orange), and malt. Nothing particularly original here, but still a focused and well rounded flavor.

M: A well-carbonated beer with a somewhat slick finish. Medium-bodied.

O: On the whole, this is a likable, drinkable beer.

This beer in the United States is sold under the label "hiphiphooray" so as to not trademark on Sierra Nevada's Celebration beer. The review below is a review for this beer.

Poured from the bottle into a nonic pint. Bottle good till June 2012.

Appearance is a real nice cherry red and orange body if a little dull. Hints of brown on edges but kind of murky. Head is a simple off white mix of creamy and foamy character.

Some hop aromas come off when cracking the cap. Nose is interesting with a front grassy hop, quinine tonic water, malts and bread. Soft mushy and wet graham cracker as well.

Taste is, very interesting. Citrus orange juicy tasting. Graham cracker comes in with a milk soft body. Citrus doesn't seem to come from hops in a bitter sense, it is a sort of orange juice feeling. Light bodied without a big hop presence but lingering just enough. Texture gets a little cotton mouth after some time, but it still holds body well.

Overall the graham cracker angle on this really takes off after awhile with the orange. Interesting, I dug it.

I can note that I found different aromas than the other reviewers, don't know if the cask could have gone too old. Anyway, very clouded, amber with orange and brown hints, an off-white head with good lacing.

Smelling sour and earthy, some lemon and vinegar, then leather and stable a slight glue association.

Tasting fruity and sour, apple cider vinegar, lemon peel.

Medium carbonation, small bubbles, a fresh sourness, a light dry finish.

I was not in any way bad, but reminded of a hopped wild ale more than an APA.

The colour is brown-amber with a tint of red. The finger thick firm head is off white, it leaves some fine lacing.

The smell is filled with fresh American hops. Citric fruits, herbs, nuts and a touch of wood.

The taste is first mild and inviting, but it gets a bit more intensive with a fine bitter-citric American flavour. Exotic fruits... The aftertaste got flavours of citric fruits, American style. A fresh hint of lime and some mandarin sweetness. Hints of alcohol and exotic fruits in the finish.

Medium to strong carbonation, the liquid is medium thick.

One of the most drinkable American pale ales I have had. Great stuff.
