Once in a while Ill stop back in this location on my way to The Anderson's which is right near there.

This is quite typical of all Whole Food's Ive ever been to. Beer selection is great for a grocery store. They have a nice selection of larger format beers. Ive seen 750mls of St Bernardus for example.

Service is thin, but its mostly a grocery store so what do you expect? I dont typically need any service anyway.

I only really stop here to supplement a trip to The Anderson's, and with The Anderson's hugely expanded selection I dont really have a need for this location anymore.

Upscale vibe, subtle lighting, good quality items across the board. Decent selection of craft beers, with quite a few individually-priced singles. Most of the stock is kept refrigerated in a large walk-through cooler. Recommended, if only for the experience.

Pretty decent rotating tap list and a large beer cave. Good place to find limited releases too. Their only drawback is pricey singles.

Not a bad place to find yourself in the middle of a polar vortex.

One thing that is neat, is that they have a good draft selection, and you can sit and have a pint or two, and also get some growlers to go. There bottle selection is good. They offer singles, as well as regular 4 packs and up. All pretty good stuff, including the occasional rare beer or two.

Food, speaks for itself. Not a ton of local options, but it is a Whole Foods, so you are going to get pretty good organic and sustainable foods!

Highly recommend!

This place has an excellent selection for a grocery store. Although located nearby to The Anderson's store (which has a bigger selection), this WF has a ton of foot traffic, which leads one to believe that anything bought would be fresher and priced to move. The beer is spread throughout the store, with separate coolers dedicated to local beers, singles/bombers, and six/twelve packs. I had the opportunity to visit during one of the Monday night tastings, and really enjoyed the ambiance and access to great food (try the pizza). The beautiful thing about this place is that you can buy you beer and consume it on premise (just ask for glassware), which makes for the best grocery shopping experience I've ever had!

Located in a busy strip mall area of Dublin, this store is a great stop for foodies and beer geeks alike. While they may not have the rarest of rare available around here, they have a solid, fresh selection of craft beer.

The beer is spread through three different areas in the store. When you enter, to the left with the vegatables is a selection of localy produced Ohio beer, stored cold. In the center of the store is the largest selection of beer, col-located with the wine. Most of this is stored cold, with some of the big bottles at room temp. Finally, to the right with the restaurant portion of the store is a medium selection if singles. While there is some overlap, make sure you look at each area for the full scope of what is carried.

Rotation seems to be pretty well handled here, so I don't think freshness is an issue. In addition, there is typically someone manning the counter in the center beer/wine section that at least knows what the store carries, if not more. They also occcasionally have reps from breweries or distributirs in here pouring samples for a nominal fee.

All in all, a great stop to pick up beer and the associated artisinal food that goes so well with it.

This is a great store to find a wide variety of great beers ales and wines from around the world. -

If it's a hard to find item try here first - Odds are they will have it.

You can buy singles and or six packs and pint's - I buy single beers as a way to try and rate different brews - I call it a hobby -

- their selection is awesome and always changing with the seasons -

Summer ales - Winter lagers - and everything in between - Even has Delirium Noel during the season -

great prices compared to specialty beer stores

One of my go to stores in the Columbus area, along with the Andersons and From the Vine. Usually carry a decent and up to date selection of craft and import six packs and singles in two separate sections. I've found some rarer releases in here as well and they occasionally have a great selection of Cantillon as well. I often times can't get any service in the department though and prices are usually on the higher side. I do find the occasional deal there though, one time snagging Old Rasputin XII for $9.99! Definitely stop by if you're in the area to check out the selection, good for central Ohio.

A few things to start off with. Their is three areas you need to know about. All local ohio beers are in a cooler to the left of the entrance past the produce. All 6-12pks and seasonal packs plus their good euro selection is in the middle of the store with the wine selection. Single bottles and bobmers are mostly located in the back right of the stoor. If you do not like hippies you might not like this place as all of the employees look like they just got out of woodstock.

Quality--Store is clean, bottles are all in nice condition. Whole foods seems to move bottles fast because their selection is always fresh which i am sure all the hop heads appreciate.

Service- Corey is the main beer guy at the store and is very helpfull. My guess he has tried every beer their and is more then happy to have a beer chat. My guess is they wont order beer for you since they are corporate but you can always suggest something.

Selection-Their selection is very nice, they usualy stock all the seasonals as they come out. It seems though limited their euro selection is nice, they seem to have a decent amout of cantillion that a friend of mince was excited about. Their Bobmer selection is week though and pales in comparrison to Kennys.

Value--They are pricey but not too bad. Their singles are priced fair but some of the 6 pks are 50c-$1 more. My suggestion would be to go across the street to Andersons if you are looking for a seasonal's as they might be cheaper. Any year round offer i would stick with whole foods though even if it is $1 more as i would gladly pay more for something that is 2-6 months fresher.

Can't say enough about this store. So I won't.

But what I will say, is that they have a knowledgeable, friendly staff. Obviously, you don't necessarily want to bother the produce guy with beer questions. But there are plenty of people there that know the beer.

They have the local beers lovingly displayed in a spare cooler (ironically enough - in the produce section!!!)

And they have the ample "main" selection in the middle of the store. Followed by the section that frustrates a lot of folks, the one back by the salad bar / deli / 161 Diner / etc.

Perhaps one day they can "centralize" it. And I do hear and feel your frustrations if you're only going for the beer.

But since I cook at home with fresh ingredients and live nearby, I shop there probably 3 to 4 times a week when I'm not on the road. And I kind of like the "de-centralization" of their beer.

Plus!!! - They have beer tastings AND - you can dine in-store and have a couple of nice draft selections. A couple weeks ago I had the Independence Ale from Great Lakes in Cleveland on tap on two different occasions. A nice compliment to pretty much everything on the menu!

As soon as I walked into the store, I could see the beer isle at the front of the store for all to see. There was a large selection here, most craft lovers would probably be surprised to see such selection at a grocery store. Surprised to see Arrogant Bastard here, but I will not be complaining. Did not see anyone around to help with the selection, but seeing as others stated they did receive tremendous help, I will not hold this against them. Walked around a little more to see the beer section was continued in another part of the store that included some singles. I can see how this would help a shopper who is traveling all around the store, but it is a little annoying for someone who is coming specifically for beer. Nothing rare here, but the selection is far above your average beer place.

To start out i have to say that I love going to stores like this. It's far more that just an average grocery store. This place also has an appreciation for aesthetics and the impact they make on the customer. There is something way more satisfying about buying beer from an upscale store than some shady looking shack. Everything in this store was well kept and visually appealing. They also had a great selection of beers as well as wine. The only complaint I have is that they have two beer sections that are in different parts of the stores. Luckily we were looking for steak and found the singles section over by the deli. They had a few other beers not found in the packs in the other section and that could throw some people off considering it's a big store. Overall I love this place and am for sure coming back next time I visit columbus.

I would have never thought that my favorite beer store would be a grocery store. If I'm in the mood for a session beer, I can find a good one here no problem. If I need something new and interesting, I can find it here. Heck, if I want some olive oil, face wash and some soup to go, I can get it here. Not only does this store provide tremendous convenience, but the selection here is far superior to that of many bottle shops in the area. I have found Rochefort 10, Pannepot's Old Fisherman's Ale, Alesmith Speedway Stout, Nogne, Northcoast, dogfish head, and a great wine selection. I was incredibly impressed with their singles department, they still had some christmas ales that I had trouble finding at other places, like St Bernardus and Gouden Carlous's offerings. The store was elegantly laid out, and the beer was actually split out all over the store. There were two defined sections predominately meant for variety. I have nothing but great things to say about this place. I have been nothing but impressed with the bottle shops and beer stores in Ohio. Being from Pa, the prices are what have blown me away the most. God bless the Ohio liquor and beer laws, as well as their distribution.
