Got this from a great trader, Bitterbill, cheers Bill!

750 ml bottle opens with a soft but not wimpy pop! Pours an effervescent gold with a finger of pearl colored head. Some oily sheen to this, plus near zero head retention & lacing. This is this beers only shortcoming to be honest...

S: Grassy, lemony & slight funky/dirtyness, plus orchard fruit once warm

T: Green apples & peach with grassyness & some honey sweetness, some peppery spiceyness as well up front. Phenols & barnyard dominate as this warms, a bit of band-aid as well, plus apple skins & a kiss of lemons, plus general boozey warmth. Finishes with much apple skin, some lemony hoppyness & peppery spiceyness, plus a tinge of funk

MF: Medium bodied with fairly effervescent carbonation

Drinks easy for the style & ABV. On point for the style, pretty impressive effort considering how recently this brewery has done bottled offerings...

This is one place I wish I would have visited prior to moving from the CO, they seem to just keep improving, based Colorado BA raves

Spicy aroma. A little funky, fun, fruity sweet. Peppercorns add some zest, corriander balances it, takes away from the spicy extreme. Very drinkable and refreshing summer afternoon. Forever lasting head on light yellow body. Soft mouthfeel.Bottle in trade.

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle.

The beer pours a clear yellow color with a white head. The aroma is yeast, citrus, candi-sugar and pepper. The flavor is more of the same with some spices, yeast, wheat and citrus notes. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. A decent saison but one that doesn't really stand out in any way.

Bottle purchased at the brewery a few months ago.

Whoever put the cage on this thing must have a wicked sense of humor. I've seen 3-5 twists to get most off... this one was wound tighter than Hilary Clinton. Cork was a bugger too.

Served cool into a Belgian globe glass, Farmhouse Ale is a pretty beer. A sparkling golden color with appropriate clarity for the style (a little hazy) and thick long-lasting head. Bubbles continue to form due to the etched bottom of this glass.

Aroma is evident from afar. Brought closer to the nose, I get a lot of nice funky barn, grass, mulch... it basically smells like a farm but without the manuer. That's a good thing.

Flavor is equally complex but luckily doesn't taste barn-like. There's still a little funk but it's laid over a sweet light malt body. There's lemon, black pepper, herbaceous matter, etc. A little tart, a little sour, just like this style should be.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied with ample carbonation while not going too far with the latter. Alcohol is evident but not overpowering.

Overall an excellent version of the farmhouse style. Just as I've come to expect from this brewery, they only make rock-solid beers.

750ml bottle $9 from the brewery. Another patron at the bar was also cool enough to give me a sample. This was golden and clear in color with a decent head. It smelled a little dusty and yeasty. It tasted pretty good but I don;t know that I can distinguish pink peppercorns in a beer. Overall, this was refreshing but at $9 I will buy Saison Dupont every time I want a Saison.

Purchased from The Wine Underground.

750ml caged and corked bottle.

The cork is really wedged in so I'm using a corkscrew to pull it out. Nice pop when I did.

It pours a very bubbly and hazy straw yellow, nah, more like straw gold colour with a good 3 finger head of foam. I'll check on the lacing when the foam settles down.

The smell is very nice with notes of coriander and pepper standing out and some lemony goodness not far behind. It smells like there's going to be some tarty flavours...

The taste is the yum! Peppery, nice coriander flavour, spicy up front in general, the back end bringing some lemon zest light bitterness and tartness...nice dry taste in the finish. Again, the yum. My first brew from Dry Dock and I'm a happy camper with what they've done with this Ale. Very to style!

It has a nice medium body with, I think, a perfect amount of carbonation that makes the mouthfeel superb. Oh and back to the lacing..yeppers, there's good and plenty.

Drinkability? A pretty strong example of the style at 7.5% but the delicious flavours keep you busy enough to not even notice it.

I have to say, for the style, there are very few that would outshine this one. Love it!
