A hoppy warship of an IPA. Massive amounts of floral, citrus and tropical hop flavors lurk beneath ivory whitecaps, swirling amid glowing golden seas, waiting to conquer your palate with their bitter deliciousness. Our take on an American favorite.

A small off white head quickly dies into a very thin lacing above a thick unfiltered particle filled IPA.

Citrus, light pine notes, light grasses, and an even light yeastiness all in the aroma of the beer.

Big citrusy to piney hops in the taste of this IPA, seems to be less of the west coast style in the taste then there was in the aroma but this is not a bad thing. A very easy drinking citrusy IPA style of beer.

A dryish citrusy aftertaste on this medium bodied beer.

I have found my favorite Dry Dock beer, well until I get the chance to visit the place and do their sampler anyway.

Yields a slightly clouded golden color with a medium sized white head.

Smells of flowery citrus, birthday cake and lighter orange zest.

Has a light and refreshing mouthfeel with a vivid carbonation, making this not only thirst quenching but also refreshing.

Tastes of fruity sweet oranges, whole grain bread covered citrus and lots of resinous, toasty malts. Turns sweeter then with prominent malts, a bubbly carbonation and lighter, lingering resin. Finishes quite bitter with maintaining citrus hops among balancing sweet malts.

This is solid for what it is with nothing noteworthy standing out. It’s abv of 6.5 gets masked by the flavors perfectly well, while the beer doesn’t manage to turn too complex overall.

Definitely enjoyed and would buy again, very hoppy and refreshing. Good amount of citrus. Solid stuff here for sure.

From recent notes on a trip to Boulder, Colorado. Poured into a medium sized, shaker style kitchen glass. Pours a lightly hazy, medium golden amber with a one finger white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, citrus and lightly dank hops, orange and grapefruit. Flavor is biscuit and slightly caramel malt, citrus and lightly piney hops, grapefruit, orange and light pine needles. Lingering pine and citrus hop finish. A solid west coast leaning IPA, not quite up to its "Abomination" moniker, but quite enjoyable.

12 oz can.

Only a slight haze within an amber-gokden color. Thick and fluffy foam cap. Fat lacing and sticky.

The aroma has a certain musky, corn husk and funk thing happening with the malty side. The hops are citrus, grainy, very piney andvslightly fruity with tones of dry, hot soil and leaves.

A light to medium style body , crispy, slightly juicy mouthfeel is rather impressive.
A fruity and juicy feel and flavor rocks a crispy edge. Light and clean, decent dry, earthy bite. Big time piney hop flavor, wild berries and more dry, leafy style hops on top of that. A light, grainy but very cleam malty balance really stabilizes this ipa. Peppery, dry hops and grains in the finish.

We made a quick stop for our second destination in Aurora, Co, just outside Denver. Just grabbed some cans for camping and hiking. Nice look to the venue, hood selection. Frendly folks to deal with. Wish I had spent more time chillin.

Can, unreadable date:
Pours a lightly gazed golden with a nice full and lasting white head.

Lightest citrus hint to the pine and herbal mint nose. Really the pine sorta sticks out the most.

Taste starts with a heavy cracker malt that is combined with a light pine taste. The pine grabs hold as a light, soft, citrus comes on - bit of zest but some grapefruit/orange flavors specifically. The pith rises as the pine regains traction to yield a minty-herbal taste. A nice bitter ending with a hint of resin.

An enjoyable beer that I liked for it's flavors and non-aggressive feel. It was actually a little soft on my palate, letting the flavors have their say.

Hazed orange-tinted gold with a finger-and-a-half of airy near-white head.

Malty aroma with pine resin and orange marmalade.

Lighter tasting than expected, with heavily-watered grapefruit juice up front, a little earthy, tea-like malt and fairly strong pine hop bitterness on the backend.

On the light side of medium-bodied with a relatively still feel.

It's certainly bitter, but there's not enough going on here to adopt the Hop Abomination moniker, IMO. Is it past its prime? If there was ever a canned on date, the misprint makes it too difficult to decipher.

I bought a can of this at a kiosk in the denver airport. It poured a clear golden with white head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had hints of malt. The taste was balance more malt that any hop. The mouthfeel was fuller in body with good carbonation. Overall it was average at best.
