I visited this location in September 2023. I was excited to visit the Forcheim Kellerwald and had travelled to Forcheim specifically for this purpose. The Kellerwald is a section of forest in Forcheim that is home to a dozen or so small biergartens along a hilly, shaded track but is at its busiest at specific times of the year.
On the day I visited, this was one of only two places open inside the Kellerwald, and so was accordingly crowded and close-packed. The two upper levels of seating were closed off. The space we were in was packed tight with long brown benches and covered with shade-giving umbrellas. With the site being nestled inside the Forcheim Kellerwald there's no shortage of other options to pursue if they happen to be open.
WIth the usual smoking Germans and slightly standoffish server, I was not particularly impressed, but if the chance arose again, and I was around when the entire Kellerwald was buzzing, it'd be a great place to visit.
Food was available but I didn't sample any.
Cheers!

Visited the brewery on a hot day in Forchheim in Jun 22. Outside it was around 30 degrees C or higher and inside it was less. Most of the locals were outside under umbrellas while I remained inside, alone, where it was a bit cooler. Two beers on tap, with others available in bottles - I took a bock to-go and enjoyed both on tap. Reasonably friendly staff, but they were unable to serve anything (brotzeit) due to a lack of bread. Personally, I liked the feel of the place overall.

Brewery Hebendanz is located across from the Forcheim City Hall (Rathaus) at one end of the walking zone. It's squeezed in a stretch of building buildings that includes two of Forcheim's three other breweries.
We stopped into the brewery/bar (don't think they serve food) on a Monday afternoon. There is a wide hallway with a few tables when you walk in, and off to the left is small room. Inside the room there were half a dozen tables of which a few tables were occupied by locals puffing away on cigarrettes who gave us a strange look. I walked over to the corner where the tiny bar was (the kind you order at, not the kind you sit at) and didn't see anyone working. We went back out to the hallway a noticed a window at the end. I peaked into the window, which looked into the back of the bar in the main sitting area, and after a minute a woman from one of the tables made her way over and took our order. Two helles and a radler came out to 5.20 euros, which was the highlight of our visit. We sat out front at one of a few tables along the cobbelstone street. The building and streets provide a nice back drop, but the street is well traveled.
We were not dressed like tourists and we spoke a decent amount of German (the bartender didn't speak English). The stares from locals made us a bit uncomfortable and the bartender was typically unfriendly (as in not rude, but not friendly either). If you go in the evening or on a weekend you will probably not notice these things and may enjoy the place. That said, they only had the helles on tap and the other two or three beers were poured from bottles. The beer was fine, but I wasn't very impressed, and if I were going to Forcheim again would definitely try a different brewery.

A smoky pub (brewery tap) located between Gasthaus Greif and Brauerei Neder in Forchheim. About 20 minutes walk from the train station.
This is a somewhat worn looking, one room pub. Green table tops, beige linoleum floor, curtained windows to the street with some plants in the windows. There is also an entry way in addition to the one room. This seems like a real locals pub, similar to Gasthaus Greif, but a bit more worn looking, and louder. Smokey. There was some pop music playing from a radio.
The service was good on my afternoon visit.
They had a couple of beers on-tap, and perhaps a few more in bottles. I sampled the Export Hell, which was good. I didn't sample any of the food, though they did have a menu.
An OK pub, worth the stop if you are in Forchheim, but hardly worth the trip to Forchheim by itself.
