Pours slightly dark and cloudy (even for a hefe). A bit heavy, but a good balance of flavors.

Always one of my favorites. The cloudy texture, the enticing aroma. The light but flavorful taste. Always worth it for me.

500ml bottle poured into my Spiegelau weizen glass.

I really have to be in the mood for a Hefeweizen; it really isn’t my favourite style. However, within its class this is a lovely classic example. Not too heavy on the bananas and cloves thing but with a great balance and mouthfeel. Looks stunning in the glass too. Cheers!

Golden and hazy. A creamy almost 3 finger white head. The nose is spice, perhaps a little canned syrupy pineapple, some clove, and something familiar my amateur ass can't quite identify. The beautiful taste is slightly malty sweet with some clove/spiciness. Maybe a little fruit and a touch of honey, but not much. There might be a slight touch of lemon, but very hint. The body is super light and carbonated; smooth and thin. This may not be a traditional "winter" beer as I'm drinking this at the end of December. But it definitely is hitting the spot on this chilly, foggy, windy and rainy X-mas Eve. Overall this is a great beer to enjoy anytime, but I could quaff a few in the hot summer months. I enjoyed it.

Not bad. Not exceptional either. Smells of heavy banana and cloves. Very creamy head. Golden straw hazy colored body. Medium carbonation. Bitter, almost piney taste from the start. Heavy, spicy after taste. Not a Vitus for sure, but glad I tried it.

48-pack from Costco.

My roommate bought this for a party we were having. We enjoyed it so much we went back to costco to buy more for us. The beer is straw yellow with a thin head. It smells strongly of fresh bread, banana and coriander. Palate follows nose closely though lemon comes into the fold. Excellent beer for its pricepoint and style.

Paulaner Hefe-Weizen "Natural Wheat" (yellow label). Not the freshest, as it's been in my fridge for a while, but this 500mL bottle is best before end of 02.18, so I'm calling it fair game. Served in a UFO weizen glass. Beer pours straw amber, relatively clear, and forms tons of white head. Aroma is still fresh, with citrusy lemon peel and cut hay in the nose. Flavor is really bright, with the fruity lemon flavor taking center stage on my palate. In spite of that the mouthfeel is creamy. Agitating the bottle between my palms before a second pour produces a beer with significantly more turbidity -- and a bit more spice/clover in the flavor. Adding a thin slice of lemon makes this classic even better. As others have noted, this beer's only flaw is that it goes pretty mild on the wheat flavor that other Bavarian Hefeweiss excels with. Very enjoyable.

This was a little underwhelming in strength. But it was highly enjoyable and CRISP and DRINKABLE I would like to have one again. I prefer this taste and style over American beers with corn or rice additives. I gave the "Look" a lower score because I think the visible yeast content gives it a low rating. Although the the cloudiness was cool as a highly acceptable signature.
I couldn't see this pairing with chicken or fish necessarily, but do agree about it's pairing with Salad..I would like to have one with ranch and Walnuts right now.
