Was at my Brother in law's home and he asked me if I wanted a Hefe, I coudn't believe it was Paulaner version. Poured into a pint glass pours an pale yellow color with a fluffy head that didn't hang around to long but did leave some lace on the glass. Smell is very sweet but subtle I can smell a bit of outdoor freshness. Taste is bready and yeasty with a nice sweet chewing gum flavor. Perfect for those hot summer months this goes down smooth and invites you to have 2 or maybe 6.

Pours like a typical hefe-weiss, cloudy straw hues with a cream colored thick head. The head settles after quite some time leaving an intricate lace. Earthy aromas of wheat and yeast. Slightly dry with malty flavors at the start. Around mid glass a hint of sweetness, like a banana coated with honey, comes into play. Medium carbonation & fairly creamy. Very smooth and drinkable.

500ml bottle

A- Something between brown and orange, extremely cloudy, visibly unfiltered. Head goes up much quicker than you would expect; After some sips it goes down but leaves nice lacing

S- Not so much goin on. Yeast, hints of lemon and banana

T- Pretty much what you would expect from a weisse. Bread-like sweetness from the weath malts and then banana, honey, lemon. Nothing really special but still a really pleasant flavour, thanks in part to the beer great smoothness

M- Again, very smooth and pleasant. Body tough is a bit too light and hops are actually undetectable; this means not enough complexity to be a really excellent beer

D- You could go on driniking this forever and still feel pleased. Sweetness is not boring, though of course this beer has nothing new to say after some sips

A classic and nice Hefeweizen example

Almost indistinguishable from the Franziskaner version. Excellent Hefeweizen!

Deep dark orange boardering on a brownish orange. Thick creamy head head with heavy carbonation.

Super mix of aromas just scream out of the glass. Biscuit, orange, banana, cloves and herb tinges. Wonderful aroma makes this one to just sit and sniff.

A very strong palate that is as good a Hefe as I have tasted. Good orange, banana and tropical fruits up front followed by the tart biting cloves on the finsih. This is long, cream and fantastic.

There is a reason why hefe's are my favourite beer. Add this puppy to the list too!

Poured into weizen glass

A: A foamy 2 finger white head above a very hazy, amber-waves-of-grain colored brew

S: Immediately, banana hits the nose, along with clove, and some spices

T: Upfront this beer is very sweet with orange peel and honey, followed by bread dough and spice flavor. finishes with orange peel and white clay.

M: a smooth and delicate medium-full body that has an off-dry entry and a dry finish

Overall, I'm not a big fan of the hefeweizen style altogether, but I'm catching myself enjoying this one. This is a delicate but full flavored hefe.

This is a decent Hefe. Cloudy, pale yellow in color, thick dense head. Slightly lemony smell with a hint of clove and spice. Sone trace of almond or vanilla. A great hefe.

This beer poured a bright cloudy yellow. I forgot to tell the waitress NOT to put a lemon in the beer. This hefe was subtle for a hefe. The cloves were in the nose and on the tongue but not overpoweringly so. The sweetness lingered in the mouth and blossomed flavor as one savoured the taste. The mouthfeel was light and had a hint of creaminess. This is a classic hefe and would say you should drink this beer in order to judge hefe catagory beers. All aspects of this beer was blended very well.

Very nice if somewhat one dimensional Hefe. Bannanas are very pronounced. Nice copper-yellow color with a huce cap of creamy foam. Creamy is also the best descriptor for the mouthfeel as well. Not heavy, but still present. Taste is very nice, again the bannana is foremost, but also lemon and a touch of malt. Great summer beer, wouldn't change a thing.
