Pours a hazy gold with a fluffy white head. Aroma mostly of wheat with some banana. The taste is not as sweet as other German Hefes, more wheaty and yeasty. Lacks in clove or bubblegum/banana. Good, but not great. Go for a Hofbrau or Franziskaner at the same price.

On tap served in a Paulaner pilsner glass.

A - Orange with a slight cream foam. Cloudy.

S - Smells of wheat; reminds me of wheat pasta once its heated to a boil.

T - Very refreshing. Not quite as sweet as some Hefe-Weiss, but a solid beer with a balance of bitterness and citrus flavor.

M - Medium bodied and low carbonation. It is a good drinker with meals. I prefer this with a good steak.

D - Very much so. Could have this over an evening and enjoy doing so.

This is one beer that when I see this at a restaurant I kinda know what I'm drinking.

At location at the Paulaner Brauhaus in Munich (reviewed from notes). This beer has a deep orange color with a 1 1/4 in head that seemed to last forever (as most wheat beers do when poured correctly). There was a very sweet smell, some spice, and citrus as well. The taste was well balanced, noticed some banana as most have, but also some orange and a little clove. This was a very well brewed beer and having it fresh made it that much better.

Banana, yeast and some kind of metal in the aroma. The flavor is dominated by banana, bubble gum and a stale bitterness.
