Pours a murky caramel color with a large white head on top. Has a watered down wheat smell. Taste is better than the smell. Very malty in flavor and not much else.

April 2015: 500 ml bottle, as Paulaner Hefe-Weissbier Non-Alcoholic, from the Norwegian importer. ABV is 0.35%. Hazy deep golden colour, large white head. Sickly and typical n/a beer aroma of baby porridge and over-cooked vegetables. The flavour has the same sickly and typical n/a beer notes, only some citrussy notes help the drinkability a little. Considering how good Paulaner’s "normal" Hefe-Weissbier is, I kind of hoped they would make a better show of it with their n/a beer. I was disappointed. This is not something I will ever pay good money for.

Pours a hazy golden color with a large head and lots of carbonation. The head dissipates quickly but there is a lot of lacing left behind.
The smell is full of bananas, coriander, bubble gum and lots of wheat sweetness. There is some citrus in there, maybe tangerine.
The taste follows the nose with lots of banana, wheat, light bready malts and citrus. There is some light hopping on the back end and the finish is both creamy and slightly dry.
Overall, though this is not the best Hefe-Weisen, it is very good for a low-alcohol type beer.

The maximum of alcohol I consume in a week would be a bottle of beer...So I'm really keen to non-alcoholic beers, and this is my favorite.
