Brilliant golden yellow color, perfectly clear, white head. Noble hops are prominent on the nose, and the Pilsen malt makes a welcome guest appearance.

Taste is magnificent, grassy hop flavors hit up front, then the soft caramel and toffee notes segue in, giving this a rich flavor profile that should be the baseline for the style.

Pours perfectly clear light yellow, almost looks like cooking oil. Bright white fluffy head, good 1/4" retention. Moderate lacing.

Smells of lightly toasted biscuits with only a suggestion of banana.

Taste is very similar to aroma. A hint of floral hops is faint in the after taste.

Feel is surprisingly richer than it's appearance would suggest. Still light, but straddles the line between weisse and traditional lager.

Overall, this is much better than I remembered. The word weisn on this almost scared me from re trying it, but the use of it's yeast compliments this lager wonderfully. Prost!

A crystal clear golden with a finger of whitish head that settles quickly. Very mild lacing. Aroma has some sweet malt, bread crust, and, some light, mild grassy notes. The flavor is very mild, overall. Pleasant, for sure, the grassy qualities are there, the toasted bread is there, and there isn't an overkill sweetness to the beer; which is good. The feel is medium-ish body, average carbonation, and dry. Pretty good balance to this one, between sweet and bitter without all the caramel bit.

Pours a very clear lighter golden color. The head is quite thick, 5 finger (ok, insanely huge glass), white, frothy. Nice lacing on the glass.
The nose is quit malty. I don't get much beyond it.
Taste - kind of a buttery flavor. Malty. Slight hop on the backside, but very slight.
Feel is quite full bodied.
I bought this beer because it came in a set with a huge stein, but it isn't a bad beer at all. I wouldn't mind having another.

My least favorite of the Munich oktoberfest beers.
Like the standard helles, I find this beer to have a slick, almost buttery characteristic that gets in the way of the malt and hop flavors. Not a bad beer, but I'd take Augustiner, Hofbrau, or Hacker Pschorr over this any day. Not much experience with Lowenbrau.

L: It is clear light yellow.
S: light herbal hops blending to a wet grain smell
T: Malt note upfront wanes with a crisp edge from the hops and fades quickly leaving a slightly sweet malt taste lingering. Keep in mind the malt flavor is much weaker than the traditional marzen. Very smooth and balanced.
F: Silky smooth full mouth feel with soft carbonation.
O: Very easy drinking with deceptively high ABV. Finish while still cold when mine warmed it tasted almost skunky. I really enjoyed this beer for a lighter marzen but like their other Oktoberfest offering better.

Clear, straw yellow with slow-rising effervescence and a finger-and-a-half of creamy, white head that leaves fat rings of lacing.

Mix of bready and crackery malt in the nose that provides a touch of sweetness with some floral hops far behind.

Clean tasting with sweet, lightly bready malt up front, a hint of all spice and a semi-dry earthy bitterness in the finish.

The light side of medium bodied, with a slightly creamy feel.

This is a great, easy-drinking take on the style. I still like Hofbrau better, though.

Beer pours a beautiful golden color with little to no head. The smell is malts and tomato maybe. The flavor is clean and smooth like most lagers a good representation of a classic Oktoberfest Beer.
