This place is a pretty cool sports bar. The everyday beer list is decent not excellent but they do get special stuff on tap with frequency. The pizza is probably the best in the central San Joaquin valley. The bar area has a lot of flat screens which are always playing a game of some sort. The service can be hit and miss but they don't get crazy busy unless its a weekend or big game. Monday night football is cool cause the do drawings and give out cool gifts.

Definitely a sports bar vibe which is ok. Pizza was pretty good. Beer selection was very good. Didn't count the taps but by their menu it was at least 32 with some decent specials. 3-4 barrel aged options. If in Fresno area, definitely worth a try. They also are happy to oblige with samples if you just want to try something which was a bit unusual for a sports bar type place.

Pretty solid place to hang out, grab some beers, and the most perfect of food combos, pizza. This place is always rotating through their regular tap selection in addition to putting on multiple events a year in honor of things such as Oktoberfest and American Craft Beer Week, as well as things like IPA and Dark Side Beer takeovers. In addition, they usually keep a pretty solid bottle selection available. They can get a bit pricey, but their discount specials bring it down to earth. Hard to beat their happy hour, dirt cheap 23oz brew (fantastic selection to pick from, not just swill) + a free mini pizza. Awesome staff that are always friendly and know their beer. There's always a good sporting event on and plenty of cool people to talk to . If you're on that side of town it's hard to beat.

Great place! I love the rotating handles and great bottle selection! Great pizza as well! Sometimes beers can be a bit pricey, but I do keep going back! They are almost always on groupon which helps a lot. IPA fest is my favorite with the Belgium a close second! They also have a good happy hour and weekly deals. All the pizzas I have had been good. The crust is amazing! The wings are pretty good as well. The bar side can get really busy so you need to be willing to wait a little for a spot. If you don't care then grab a table on the other side. All the menu is the same!

BC's is the best place in the Fresno area (probably in the central valley) in terms of selection.

They have nearly thirty taps that they constantly change out. Every week there is something new on tap (usually quite a few new beers each week). Additionally they have a huge bottle selection that they also rotate frequently. On any given day they probably have 100+ different beers to choose from.

Throughout the year, there are a number of beer fests offered (Belgian, IPA, Oktoberfest, etc...).

Beer prices are a bit high, but they regularly have specials that can help keep the cost down a bit.

As far as food is concerned, I think they make the best pizza in the area. Not much of a selection outside of pizza, sandwiches, etc... but what they do, they do very well.

There are also a number of flat screen televisions that air a variety of sporting events daily.

For those with families, there is a restaurant side, separate from the bar, that offers the same menu/beer selection.

My only negative comments are that service in the bar is usually quite slow, and as already mentinoed beer prices can be a bit high, but you get what you pay for.

Considering the lack of other options in the area, it is well worth it.

This place has a bit of history, originally it was in the Old Fig garden area some time ago, then they opened up this one in Clovis, i believe the owners may have split off at that point.

In the past they've always had some beers that were not available at most restaurants.

But NOW, well it's pretty darn good for Fresno, and not bad for many places I've been.

I had trouble rating this place as for Fresno, it's one of the best as far as selection. AND they even had an IPA fest, how about that!

Beer prices are rather high, up to 8 bucks for a standard bar conical "pint". But since you can't get get a lot of this stuff anywhere else in the area, i guess they feel they can charge the price...
28 draft beers, only two crappy BMC's and one cider i think.

Many many bottles including one I've never heard about before, Harviestoun Ola Dubh. Wild stuff!
but, again pricey, 16 or more for and 11 ounce bottle.

Mostly pizza and Calzones, but what would you expect. More than adequate. Price not as bad as the beers.

this will be my mecca for awhile, until the price gets to me i guess.

[I kept saying Fresno, but i guess i meant the Fresno area, as this place is actually in Clovis.]

BC's is by far the best place to find crazy good beers from around the globe!!! They are constantly bringing in new beers to try. They love their Belgiums and German beers, i always look forward to new selections. If you love great beer and outstanding pizza check this place out. I'm looking forward to the Belgium fest starting on May 20 2010. My favorite beers thus far are La Rulles, Gulden Draak, Corsendonk Abby brown, Delirium Nocturum, and of course the every tried and true Chimay Blue. They just added 6 new taps... deliscious more choices. BC's never ceases to push the envelope on better selection and thus impressing all of us customers. Thanx BC's

Well I have ordered hundreds of pizzas from this place in my life but had not checked out their bar until a few days ago. I was shocked. I live in a town with no good beer bars. Or so I thought.

I went in BC's to grab a pint on my way home and saw their row of taps. Beautiful. They had unfamiliar taps which is a good thing. When I looked closer I noticed several Belgiums, Weihenstephan Korbinian, Ayinger Celebrator, one of New Belgium's Lips of Faith beers and several others. But I was simply shocked to see that they had Life and Limb. Thier bottle collection was great as well and included Pliny the Elder among other things.

If you have been to the Central Valley in California you would know how rare a good beer bar is and how excited I am too finally have found one. The best part is that their pizza is great.

Pretty nice little bar in the middle of Clovis. They boast to have over 100 different beers available. About 20 are on tap and the rest are bottled beers which they are constantly changing. One week you can go in there for one beer, the next week they will have stopped ordering it. However, if you ask them to get that beer back they do make an effort to do so. They have a lot of IPAs, belgian beers, and a few exotics along with the typical bar beers. I find it odd though that they do not have Sam Adams, every other bar in town has it on tap.

I have started my "Around the World" trip and there are a few beers on there I have been introduced to which I really like. The staff is friendly, they'll come hang out with you if it's slow. Monday Night Football there is fun, they give away tickets for every beer you purchase and at halftime and the end of the game they raffle off prizes.

Beers can be a little expensive (about $7 or $8 for a Franziskaner which I can get for under $2 at Bevmo but I guess that's the typicall markup at a bar). They always have breweries there advertising new beers (some are good, others not so much) and they'll have specials where you try the new beer and you get to keep a glass or shirt. Food there is pretty good too. Pizza is delicious, Pesto Cheese Toast is my favorite, sandwiches are good, and they have a nice salad bar. Overall, it's a good place to relax and have a few beers at.

I thought I would check this place out because my son got a good report card, and wanted to be rewarded with pizza. The outside has many lighted beer signs. Mostly macro stuff, and a bunch of New Belgain signs. Once inside, you see more signs. Again mostly ND or macro signs. To the left are a few video games. I expected there to be more. There is a bar area on the right, with plenty of seating, and children were allowed. There was other seating to the left. Plent of places to sit.

They have a good amount of taps. Around 20. On each side of the taps is a cooler filled with bottles. They might have the best bottle selection I have seen in the central valley. They had many styles, from many countries. They have an around the world club, where if you drink all 50 beers from their card, you get a plaque on the wall. It is free, and they maintain your record. They have more than 50 beers, but you only need to drink 50 of them. They also had specialty glassware and some Arrogant Bastard T-Shirts for sale.

The service was good. Maybe a little slow, but it was a busy Friday night. The staff was friendly, and knowldgable.

The only problem was the food. All three of our meals were way overcooked. Nothing tasted good at all. The fact that it was all three of our meals makes me think it might just be the norm. I plan to go back in the future and reevaluate the food. If it is not as bad, I will not that in this review.

Overall: This place has the best selection in the Valley. I am pretty sure of that. They have a friendly staff. If their pizza was better, they would be world class. Maybe next time they will be better. This place is definately worth stopping at if you get the chance.

A fun little place on the busy Fresno/Clovis Shaw Avenue strip mall gauntlet. Most of the building is taken up by a family-style pizza joint, but the bar area to the right of the entrance is where all the adult fun takes place. The wall behind the bar displays the available offerings, from the coolers or off the tap. A broad selection of bottles including Stone, Humboldt, and other popular micros.English ales, and several Belgians, can also be found in the cold box, while the taps boast such names as Gulden Drak, Piraat, and several California micros. Of course, Miller and Bud are available to appease the masses. My main problem is the glassware- pint glasses or the '"mondo" wheatbeer glasses only. And they are almost always frozen. Ask your server for a fresh non-frozen glass, it's not a big deal. Food is greasy pizza and sandwiches, all tasty and well made, with a full stocked salad bar available. Clientele is varied, from the young college aged crowd to the mid thirties folks looking to relax with a beer after work. It can be a sort of expensive to park yourself at the bar for a few rounds, but happy hour from four to six knocks a couple of bucks off each beer, plus you get a mini pizza free with your first order. All in all, a decent neighborhood gathering place.
