Your new main squeeze. We juiced up our Hefeweizen with loads of blood orange for a citrusy twist. This infused brew strikes a unique balance of sweet & tart to brighten up your day.

A: it has a golden/orange color.
S: slightly citrusy, the smell of blood orange is very much present with a small aroma of yeast.
T: a very tart tasting beer with a strong, yet not overwhelming taste of a blood orange. i very much appreciate that the taste
feels "tart" rather than sour, as most experiences i've had with citrusy drinks are usually very sour in nature. this offers
a nice inbetween of sweet/sour.
M: light/medium and creamy. very refeshing and finishes very smoothly. i found myself being able to down this beer super quick
because of just how easy it is to down.
overall: one of my favorite beers. when i visit the west coast i look out for this. anyone that enjoys anything "orangey" for
a beer should find the same pleasure i had in drinking this.

Interesting that this is SLO Brew's most rated beer, though not highest rated. We discovered it on draft in a Ferndale sports bar and ordered because it was the only brew we didn't recognize. On draft it was so wonderful we kept ordering more, and with low ABV of a Hefeweizen we could still walk home. My wife thinks it is a girlie beer. Pink color is weird. It's somewhat akin to an American style Belgian Sour. I like it better than Wild Little Thing (Sierra Nevada) and keep buying 6-packs. No doubt my local store will run out soon. Very hard to rate. Normally I drink only IPA but this is a keeper. I'd like to rate it 5 for originality but that would be deceptive. It's a super drink to end a summer afternoon.
Perhaps due to higher production capacity, this brew is canned by Firestone Walker.

smell and taste exactly as advertised: blood orange. Some pink/orange color with voluminous head of white plus merest hint of orange in the head. Not much haze. Medium body. Not a classic hefe but I give them points for nailing the can description without tasting overtly like fake flavoring.

A: The beer is rather hazy yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of blood orange are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and is mostly dominated by flavors of blood orange.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This hefeweizen is very easy to drink and has nice, but not overpowering flavors of blood orange.
Serving type: can

16oz can with no visible dates. Opened 5-23-20.
2 finger white dense white head falls slowly to 1/4" then a solid cap. Bright orange and mainly opaque hefeweizen. Patchy and spotty lacing forms but doesn't stick.
Orange lifesaver aroma, bright and ripe aroma. Some lime-like citrus.
Tart orange and lime flavors. Starts bold and fades a little mid-palate and into the finish into a bit of an artificial-ness but never falls totally off the edge..
Light to medium body, medium-low carbonation. Lightly creamy mouthfeel. Orange fruit semi-sweet finish followed by a lingering tartness.
Not getting much "hefe" character but it's a refreshing and drinkable beer regardless.
Good.
