This Andronico's has an average selection of beer for a gourmet grocery store.

It has more beer than the typical Safeway store, but less than most Whole Foods, including the small Palo Alto Whole Foods Market. Most of the beer is standard stuff that you can pretty much find at any good grocery store.

The majority of beer is in 6 paks, so the selection isn't quite as extensive as it may seem based on the size of the refrigerator, as the six paks take up a fair amount of space.

If you're looking for craft beer in this area, I recommend Whole Foods Palo Alto (slightly better about 5 min away), Whole Foods Los Altos (much better about 12 min south), or K&L Wines Redwood city (much better about 10 min north).

This place is a local supermarket chain- for a supermarket the selection is great, including a fair number of singles. They have Chimay, Anderson Valley products, Lagunitas, etc. They have a reasonable number of sixers of local craft brews as well. No service to speak of, and all the beers are refrigerated. This chain is known for being a bit pricey. You won't find anything truly unusual here, but if you are in the area and looking to grab some brew, it has a better selection than the local liquor stores and other markets do- with the exception of Beltramos up the street in Menlo Park. Beltramos has fairly limited hours, though, so you might find yourself here.
