A must see for the true beer enthusiast.
The atmosphere is quiet, with plenty of booths and a nice outdoor patio out back and a front porch to enjoy you selected beverage.
The food menu is limited, but it is all quite good and reasonably priced (yes, it is so limited that I sampled it all in the 3 hours I was there). Certainly not a place to go for a meal, but an excellent selection for palate cleansing between beers.
The beer selection! 90 beers on tap! from the standards to the rare finds (Lindeman's Framboise on tap!). An excellent selection of local beer are available, and don't be shy about asking for a tate sample before you decide, the servers are knowlegable and happy to answer any questions for the beer initiate and to offer suggestions.
All beers are available by the pint or half pint, which I found nice.
Juke box, pool table, darts are all available.

I have to preface this by saying I've been going to this bar for almost 20 years. It had been several years since my last visit, and I was pretty disappointed. The beer selection was average at best, but even worse was the service. I won't harp on my experience, but the place could use a more mature staff (at least based on the night I was there).

Neighborhood vibe, but then presented with wall of taps. Too many seasonals for even the website to keep track of. Nice selection of locals and sought after East Coast brews. Keep trying to focus on Texas....

I'm going to be "that" guy right now. The Ginger Man used to be AMAZING. Wonderful vibes abound in the old place. It felt like THE PLACE to drink beer. Real Estate in Austin happened and they moved to a tiny place with a nice indoor area but the outdoor 'patio' is miserable. You're surrounded by skyscrapers and terrible music. If it's Summer time, forget it. You'll DIE outside it's so damn hot. Is it a bad place? Not at all. Was this within their control? Hardly. Do I have to like it? Nope.

Personally, I miss the old location. It had a more quiet and relaxing feel to it, like a true pub. The current location still captures a lot of the same feel, but with a more commercial and open feel. The beer and service, however, remains spot-on.

This place has a huge L shaped bar with a grey stone top and can easily seat about 20 or more patrons. Very dark interior as the lights are kept very low. Some dart boards line the walls, and there are a bunch of tables off the bar area. There is also an outdoor seating area where a bunch of people were taking their drinks.
They had to have about 80 beers on draft, so you will find something to your liking. I had several pints over two days, and each one was fresh as the beer seems to move here despite the large number of drafts.
The bartender was very friendly and prompt with her service. She also seemed to understand the styles she was serving. Only had an appetizer here which was good. This is a worthwhile stop in the downtown area.
