Poured into a custom pint glass: color is copper, head is bright white with fine bubbles, some lacing. Head lingers well for long time.

Smell is moderately malty, toast and biscuit, some haven noted crackers with I agree with.

Taste is similar - biscuit, toast, and more crackery flavor - less malty than many other o-fests, less munich or vienna malt character.

Mouthfeel is crisp, carbonated, drying.

Overall a dryer and less malty o-fest, still good and drinkable but less pronounced german malt character.

Poured into a snifter.

3.25 A: Clear orange amber color. One finger of frothy white head. Retention is below average and a short ring of lacing is left.

3.5 S: Toasty and crackery maltiness. Caramel, nondescript fruitiness, and a moderate neutral sweetness. Earthy and grassy hops.

3.5 T: Toasty, grainy, and crackery. Caramel and mild toffee sweetness. Earthy hops with grassy undertones.

3.75 M: Lighter medium to medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Pleasantly creamy and super smooth.

3.5 D: Pretty good. Tasty flavor profile and super clean.

DATE: September 22, 2016... OCCASION: another thirsty Thursday... GLASSWARE: Orioles mug... pours a sparsely bubbled, clear, copper orange body that sports a fizzy, swiftly dissipating head that smears to irregularity... a light caramel, lightly roasted aroma with some tea and lemon grass as well... sips a smooth, sweet, slammable body... a bit flat, lacking the effervescence of a more lively fest... the flavor profile is on par with its aroma, with caramel malts and flowery hops leaving a sweet, diminishing aftertaste... in all, not much of an experience, but a beer that will still occupy the palate during the fall... many other fests register a maltier return...

Pale golden-amber hybrid color with a modest one-finger, off-white head that quickly dissipates to a small, but lasting cap. Noble hops are what stand out in the aroma, with just a hint of malt sweetness behind. There's a bit more depth in the taste. A kiss of malt, a herbal note in the hops, a little spiciness and bitterness in the aftertaste. Still pretty light tasting, overall. Light to medium bodied with strong carbonation. I like this brewery and had higher expectations for this one. Not bad, but nothing special, either.
