Into a pint glass, it leaves a brown colored body, two finger white foamy head quickly dies and leaves spider web lacing; the smell has malts, toffee, light nuttiness, light honey, the taste is malty and sweet, nutty aftertaste and a quick sweet almost dry finish; the palate was light to medium, very sessionable, gets creamy and smooth; overall, this is pretty good for an English Brown Ale, I recommend if you like the style.

Look: Clear dark amber color with no head. No carbonation.

Smell: Roasted malts, not much else.

Taste: Roasted malts... Not a ton else. But very smooth. Little bit watery though. Drinkable.

Feel: Thin

Overall: Not a ton to this beer. Pretty plain. Overall pretty sessionable at least. Nothing to write home about though. 5/10.

I got Pig's Ear from Woodstock Brewery via beer trade and it is a very nice brown ale.

Look: semi-clear brown with no head.

Aroma: It has a nutty, sweet, caramel aroma.

Taste: Nutty, toasted malt flavor, bready, chocolate, modestly hoppy.

Feel: Medium body, easy drinking

smells like an adjunct lager to me ... mostly detecting sweet corn and grains, maybe a hint of roastyness. taste is much better, but definitely not what i expected. a bit of tartness and some dark malts that provide some sweetness for balance. overall not a bad brown ale but nothing special.
