Unfiltered German style lager. It pours light in color, say, cloudy apricot golden. I guessed at the Helles style when I entered this beer into the database. Half-finger of off-white head that settles to a thin layer of fine bubbles that persists. Smells yeasty with noticeable German hop aroma.

Tastes yeasty, gorgeous German barley flavor, toasty grain, soothing sweet malt, mild clean hop bitter, and earthy hop flavor. Malt sweet is balanced with the hop bitter and hop flavor. I'm getting some pear and honey estery character that could be from the hops, but more likely is from the yeasts suspended in solution. There is a drying astringency that is a bit off-putting. Also the acid balance bites a bit. Light body and moderate carbonation.
