Pours clear golden with big white head, nice retention. Smell of pale malts, rather sweet & boring, hops are not evident, mild citrus. Taste is semisweet and malty, slightly papery, nothing interesting at all, some earthy hops. Actually refreshing.

Served in a 0.5l Zotler Bier glass at Hotel Alte Post, Mindelheim Germany 4/11/12.

A: Served a stunningly clear, golden hue. Ample carbonation feeds 2 1/2 fingers of bright white foam. Retention was good and some lacing was left behind.

S: Lightly toasted grains, spicy citrus hops, with a touch of carmel.

T: See above.

M: Crisp, dry, prickly, and (a bit too) thin.

O: Very nice lager. Refreshing and crisp...but could've used a bit more heft in the mouthfeel.

Good example of a seasonal German pilsener, nice golden hue ,with ample head. Nice grain aromas and sharp bite in the aftertaste. Moderate carbonation keeps the fizz going throughout. A very regional bier, no the best in its class, but a far better than the average AMerican beer....
