A murky, muddy brown liquid with a tall, frothy head. Not much retention and a quick fade. Scant lacing. Deep nose. Rich and inviting. Molasses, rum, coconut, vanilla. Some light cherry and oak. Underneath all of that you get classic Wee Heavy malt aromas. Toasted grains and lots of burnt sugars. Taste is superb. All the flavors in the nose and more. The malt is big and full of bread and brown sugar. Light cocoa and vanilla. Graham crackers express in a finish that offers up a melange of barrel qualities. Cherries, oak, vanilla, rum... wow. Typically low bitterness. With all the rum, flavors the alcohol is very well integrated. So delicious. Feel is atypical. Medium heavy syrup, with a light tingly carbonation. Drinks a little too easily for the abv. This is an expertly crafted and integrated ale. Even at ten bucks a bottle I'm looking to have another. Exceptional beer.

On tap at the Daily Growler in Upper Arlington, OH, then later as a more substantial pour at The World of Beer- Brewery District in Columbus, OH. Wulver aged in Cruzan Rum barrels. So lucky to come across this when I was visiting the area.

Pours a murky, hazy dark brown, with a half inch head, and a little bit of lacing down the glass.

Smells include molasses, toffee, vanilla, oak, and rum.

The taste is the same, and unbelievably rich and complex. Molasses, brown sugar, peat-like smoke, toffee, caramel, oak, vanilla, rum, butterscotch, and even a little bit of bourbon sweetness. Quite boozy, with present but well-integrated alcohol.

Very warming, creamy sticky sweet mouthfeel, very rich. Drinkable for the ABV. Full bodied.

A winner, and a nice find here, this was absolutely amazing.
