Comes in a beautifully hazy, almost opaque golden color with a small white foamy head. Chunks of sediment are visible at the bottom of the glass. Retention is moderate, and a thin ring remains perpetually, leaving some spotty lacing behind.

The aroma is huge banana and clove, big warmth, apple, pear, pineapple, lemon; hay, big bready malt, dough, honey, vanilla.

Banana, clove, and honey upfront, followed by apple, pear, pineapple, and lemon. Big doughy malt backbone, thick and creamy, but not overly sweet. Finishes with clove and hay, lightly dry, with some alcohol warmth.

Pretty full-bodied, smooth, and creamy. Seems a bit undercarbed or almost too creamy for the style, though.

Overall, it's not the best tripel in the world, but it's not underwhelming, either. It's solid.

Poured into a chalice at Vintage 301 a rich golden with burnt orange hue,a fluffy white crown atop.Aromas were bigtime fruity along with candied sugar and slight phenols.Flavors are more where the beer begins to slightly miss the mark, the yeasty spice flavors are qite strong with a deep spice in the finish that makes the beer seem to sharp, the alcohol is not well restrained. Its decent but maybe to brash, glad I tried it though.

On tap at the Winking Lizard in Coventry. Poured into a large chalice a clear pale gold/orange with a white head that sticks to the glass. Slightly boozy aroma of candied sugar, yeasty light fruits, oranges, and spices. Spicy flavor with some sweetness, lots of citrus flavor and some other pale fruits. Finishes balanced to slightly dry with some warming. Solid but not great.

Review from BeerAdvocate Magazine Issue #36 (Jan 2010):

While the head might fall short, the lacing does leave some rings behind; light haze within the golden color. Faint lemon candy, taffy, ripe papaya, shortbread and peppery alcohol in the nose. Lemony and medicinal flavors start it off, and peppery alcohol rounds it out with some sweet but vague tropical fruit. Grainy; dry maltiness mixes well with the nutty yeast component. Warming alcohol never gives a feeling, even on the breath. Maltiness and an herbal flavor make up for a very pleasing aftertaste.

Perhaps not as refined or polished, but brimming with flavor. The complexities hit all the right spots for the style.

Thirsty Dog Cerberus

Poured in tulip glass

A: Pours a deep rusty orange color with some sediments.

S: Pears, apples and maybe touch of honey. Has a familiar slight funky Belgian yeast aroma to it as well.

T: Sweet and sugary. Maintains the common flavors I've found and still can't quite get used to in the trippels I drank. A hint of alcohol on the end too.

M: Smooth.

O: I like this but not enough to search for it again. For me it's another go round with a style I'm trying to wrap my head around. Not bad . . . I'd drink again if offered.

On draft at Bocktown awhile back, appears a clear golden honey tone with nice white foam action not super thick, leaves behind fine even lacing streaks. Aroma offers pineapple, citrus sweet hony and simple syrup notes with mild spicy yeast complexities flowing. Flavor wise I was catching too much perfume like qualities from the yeast and spice additions. Throw in the fact that the finish tasted like alcohol soaked tropical fruit didn't do it for me the harsh alcohol tasted like someone's uncle wanted to inject to watermelon with grain alcohol at the family reunion. Mouthfeel is medium bodied stick and somewhat cloying at times due to both texture and everlasting spice additions that leave their mark on my palate. Drinkability is okay, but this isn't a version I would push on you if your picky about your tripel. Because it has way too much unrefined brashness to compare with most Belgian versions.

Enjoyed on tap at The Brew Kettle, the names is in fact Cerberus 10.Pleasant and no booziness detected. Golden with peachy tinge, and a lace sheer. Above average mouthfeel, ver smooth, sweet yeasty and slightly fruity, with a little tanginess. On the style.

Decanted from a 12 oz (355 ml) bottle into a conical pint glass; no production information.
A: Pours a hazy, dark golden color with limited head creation, retention or lacing.
S: Tart with aromas of honey, caramel, cloves, and spices.
T: Semisweet to sweet with caramel more than honey, cloves and pepper; maltiness overwhelms the bitterness somewhat.
M: Medium bodied with modest carbonation. High alcohol content evident.
O: A drinkable Tripel.
