Shared this one with my doppelganger on another one of those weekends... Served from growler into a New Belgium globe. Poured copper with a minimal off-white head. Maintained decent lacing thoughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, syrup, banana, dark fruit, and fruit. The flavor was of sweet malt, maple syrup, banana, dark fruit, and wood. It had a medium feel on the palate with medium-high carbonation. Overall this was a fairly good brew. The flavor on this one was quite surprising as it was fairly sweet. The maple syrup aspect really added a nice touch to the brew. The mouthfeel was pretty good on this one which made it very easy to drink. Definitely a must try if you get the opportunity. Tick.

On tap at Jackie O's, $3 for a 10 oz pour!!

A- pours a dark amber color with an orange hue, small creamy white head with decent retention, leaving just a bit of lace behind on the glass

S- lots of bourbon! Oaky vanilla aromas with lots of barrel juice, there are some traceable traditional Tripel aromas in there but for the most part, they are masked by bourbon

T- the bourbon flavor dominates up front with barrel juice and vanilla flavors, mid-palate brings out some Belgian yeast and phenolic notes that tries to pop through, but is still masked by the bourbon, the finish is malty and sweet with more bourbon

M- medium body with low-moderate carbonation, somewhat foamy mouthfeel with a hot finish

O- I love bourbon heavy beers, so this worked for me. But considering the base beer is a Tripel, it gets completely lost in the overpowering bourbon flavors. It drinks more like a scotch ale rather than a Tripel. If you like bourbon, it's a good choice, otherwise overwhelming.

On-tap at Mugs Ale House, Brooklyn, NY

A: The beer is slightly hazy orange yellow in color and has no visible carbonation. It poured with a lacy patch of bubbles on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of bourbon are present in the nose.
T: Much like the smell, the taste is dominated by flavors of bourbon—while this isn't strong or overpowering it mostly masks the underlying malts and yeast. There are slight bits of sweetness from the underlying tripel and some vanilla from the bourbon.
M: It feels a bit more than medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. There is also a moderate amount of warming from the bourbon.
O: This beer is pleasant to sip and is quite easy to drink considering its strength because it hides its alcohol very well. However, it tastes nothing like a Belgian beer because the bourbon nearly obscures everything.

Barrel Aged Cerberus, had on 3/17/2016.
Extremely alcoholic taste, extremely complex. Have not had a standard Cerberus to compare with. Very malty, would drink again.

A: Pours a medium amber brown to yellow color. Some head initially disappates and leaves little lacing.

S: Bourbon barrel present which is nice. Difficult to detect much else.

T: The bourbon taste masks possibly some of the goodness from the triple. That being said the bourbon barrel aging also adds a nice flavor.

M: Medium thickness as expected.

O: Really good. Debating whether the bourbon barrell enhanced the flavor here, but still nice and respect the effort to bring a different flavor to an existing brew.
