Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a sly golden yellow color with a slight transparency about it. Carbonation could be seen rising at a decent pace to fill a one finger white foamy head. Light fizz. But a balanced foamy/bubbly lace. The aroma starts with the citra bitter to sweet hops with a touch of grassiness and then a balancing malt backbone. The flavor leaves a little bit to be desired with the citrusy aromas to taste slightly burnt with lack of zing. Malty biscuity to caramel tones. Earthy to citrusy and bready aftertaste with a mild crisp finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Mild carbonation. ABV feels effective, fine. Overall, weird AIPA. Though I didn’t see a date, my cohort said it was fresh thus my numbers. Unsure if I would come back to.

Darker than most pale ales. Very clear amber colour. Smelling you can expect the citrus in there but also accompanied by a tinge of hops. Taste is even better.

Smelled like stale sweaty boogery tissues

Tastes like pickled jalapeño peppers and cheese? Jalapeño poppers?

Cask ale

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a light yellowish gold color, with a short foamy white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick but spotty lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains citrus, grassy hops and caramelized malts.

T: The taste starts out with a burst of grassy hops bitterness. Then some citrus and caramel sweetness quickly follows. The malt character is hearty but not too heavy and brings a decent balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet and slightly hoppy.

M: Crisp and a little smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: A little tasty, goes down ok, not too filling, decent kick, good representation of style, this is a solid IPA but there are several others in the style that I would choose first.

I hope this was just an old six pack. Taste was like an old stale import. I know thirsty dog can make good beer, but what i just tasted was not good.

Bottle, no visible date. DFH tulip.

A: pours a light hazy gold with lots of carbonation and a half finger of bubbly white head. Pretty decent lacing, with islands of bubbles remaining.

S: pretty faint on aroma; faint lemon peel and mild hints of sweet citrus with a crackery malt base. Sweet navel orange smell increases as it warms.

T: arrives pretty dry and crisp cracker malty, a little lemon peel and pine on the middle, with a pretty bitter but not excessive ending. A very west coast style lighter, drier IPA. Distinct Citra taste, for sure. Citrus taste increases as it warms, perhaps a little mandarin orange. More citrus reasserts itself on the finish, with a lingering hoppy lime sensation under the tongue.

M: medium to light-bodied, slightly slick, but pretty active carb keeps it refreshing. Slight lingering hop, but fairly clean.

O: reminds me a lot of Jackie O's Mystic Mama, but that is both hoppier and crisper. Also like Land-Grant's Glory, but without wheat. I can see the parallel to Zombie Dust, but don't think it is anywhere as crisp or fragrant. I could definitely see myself enjoying this again, though it is not one that I am going to seek out.

This is a clear, pale amber that is quite attractive in the light. Minimal head. The smell is rich and malty. If you like hops, you will definitely enjoy the flavour, as it is as strong as a kick in the face.
