City Limits Diner is part of the Livanos Restaurant Group owned by the Livanos family.

Although it is a diner, it is not a dirty diner with the same menu as every other diner.

Instead it i a clean, well-designed restaurant with a creative and delicious menu. Breakfast is awesome here, from the eggs and bacon to the pancakes. Dinner is also very good, great filling sandwiches.

The bottle selection is amazing for a "diner", dead guy ale, chimay, ayinger and other great beers are available. On tap, you will find Bluepoint Toasted Lager, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Brooklyn IPA and some more. This place is not cheap, but the quality of the establishment is evident in everything they do.

I was on business in Stamford and found my hotel on the internet. The first night I wanted to go back to a restaurant that I visited years ago, a brew-pub called Bank Street. After parking, I found that it was only open for banquets. I ended up walking around and finally went into a sports bar (BobbyV's, which is a highly rated sports bar, but not a beer bar).

I opened up BeerFly the afternoon of the next day and found that the restaurant that was at my hotel is actually the highest rated beer bar in Stamford. I wish that I had not had that trip the other night, even though I enjoyed BobbyV's.

I went down, and noticed that the last time that this place was reviewed was 3 years ago, not knowing what to expect. i believe that they had a very nice selection of draft (except for one light beer from the Colorado Rockies).

I started off with a Brooklyn Lager with dinner, home-made ravioli. It was nice, but not spectacular, as I'd had it before. I had a Espresso Dark Chocolate Torte with a Scaldis Quad for dessert. It was a beautiful combination.

They bake all of their bread and desserts onsite, daily. Not really a diner, but more up-scale.

Just about the place to go if you are in Stamford. Very good food, wonderful beer selection. My only gripe here is the service at the tables which is SLOW. The bottled beer list features an excellent variety, and their are rotating taps which I have had Thomas Hooker Plae Ale and Ayinger Celebrator from in my visits over the past month. They also have a nice bar area to sit in and the tenders are usually friendly and are eager to serve. Also, this is a nice place because of the no-smoking policy.

Not a beer bar, but a diner that recently opened in my area. I went there to grab a quick dinner and imagine my surprise when it turned out they had an extensive beer selection! Eight on tap, only one of which was a macro unmentionable, and forty in the bottle. A great cross-section of American micros, some English and German, a handful of Belgians and a few Unibroues to top it off. I ordered the Victory HopDevil and it was good. They served it with a frosty pilsner glass - so you may want to ask if they have any non-frosty glasses when you order. Fortunately they let me do the pouring from the bottle. Food is great; this is an above average diner, and they bake on the premises. Foodwise, it's pricier than an average diner, but nothing exorbitant. Beer prices are about what you'd expect. I don't know what the turnaround on the bottled beers will turn out to be, but as of right now, this place only just opened and all the beers are fresh. A good place to get a bite and a brew if you are passing through SW CT. Right off exit 6 on I-95 in Stamford.
