Bought at the Supermarket in Olomouc. 0,5 l poured into a Pilsener glass.
-Pale Golden color. Small White head: 1mm.
-Deep Pilsener smell: Good
-Taste of bitter biscuit and it is grassy. First zip is superb.
-Leaves a bit of bitterness as aftertastte but small amount.
Nothing unusual for a Czech Pilsener but it is a Good one.

Every time something is a premium people think there ought to be some sort of higher appreciation for this.
But much like all other premiums, this beer sucks. straight away, a considerably pale tone with a very poor head retention. It looked as the head in a lemonade would, basically.
The smell and taste are considerably weak. the only think saved is a scarce grassy feel from the hops which managed to stand out above a considerably insipid beer.
The mouthfeel is a tad oily, nothing much but making it a bit undesirable. which of course ruins the drinkability- it's useless.

Pours clear, yellow and with a decent white head. Retention is acceptable at best. Some lace.
Smell is almost non-existent. A faint whiff of something indeterminate.
Taste is better than a TV beer with some faint cracker note to follow the near acrid bitterness.
The body is good, between light and medium. Effervescence is pronounced, down right fizzy. An acidic bitterness lingers that makes me concerned for my tooth enamel. Nothing to recommend here, just another fizzy, yellow, bitter pilsner lager beer.

Green 500ml bottle (5.2% ABV here in the UK): best before 28 June 2013 and pored into 'Budweiser Budvar' badged stemmed vase shaped glass on 18 July 2012.
Done some hard labour today and this evening: need a refreshing pint, this live review is hopefully going to slate my thirst.
Looks fine: golden, clear body with ahuge white head of bubbles on top.
All down hill from now though: metallic and sugared almonds in the nose (without any almond smell).
Weak, watery and hop hints: a sweet false flavour from malt extract? doesn't help the overall feel, this isn't a good beer.
A lawnmower beer: glad I paid very little for it in a local cut-price supermarket (B&M). Most likely the worst Czech brewed beer I've ever had.

Holba Premium (12 degrees) has a thick, white head, a clear, bubbly, golden appearance, and decent lacing left on the glass. The aroma is of sweet, honey malt and/or honey-topped white wheat bread. Taste is the same, with a noticeable and hearty hop bitterness at the middle-to-end of the sip. Mouthfeel is straight medium, and Holba Premium finishes crisp and very refreshing. RJT

A: Yellow with red tones, lots of carbonation. The head is white and small.
S: Fruity, some sweet maltyness, a lot of floral and some bitter hops.
T: Nice mix between the floral and bitter hops. Some (sweet) malt - nice and clean.
M: Rather short aftertaste, but the bitterness is there as well as some sweetness. The body is creamy medium and the carbonation is pretty rich.
D: It's pretty obvious that this is a Czech beer. Not the best one I've ever had but far from the worst.

0,5l bottle.
Pours clear golden beer with bubbly white head, low retention, scanty laces. Smell is generally bready, taste is a bit watery, somewhat chalky, malty, lack of bitterness in the finish. Light body, moderate carbonation. Nothing interesting for Czech pilsener.

A 500ml green glass bottle with a BB of June 2013. ABV is stated as 5.2%. Picked up cheap from a B&M store a little while back.
Poured into a tulip pint glass. A clear golden colour with medium carbonation. Forms a decent head of white foam that lasts for a minute or two before dissipating. A faint aroma of light malt with weak hints of overcooked veg and stewed leaves. Not much going on.
Tastes of light malt with a dry finish. Notes of stewed leaves, mild overcooked veg and a hint of corn. A harsh quality lurks in the background, along with a faint cardboard flavour. A dry bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is smooth, light and prickly, with an insubstantial body that matches the style. Slightly astringent, with an aftertaste of bitter stewed leaves/veggies.
Meh - a crappy sub-par lager. Not much aroma or flavour, and some unpleasant off-notes to boot. Definitely not the Czech Republic's finest. Give it a miss.

This beer has a beautiful intense golden tone, and in my case it displayed a good durable head.
Is a pitty that the experience is limited to the looks. This beer is quiet insipid. It leaves some bitter aftertaste that lasts a little bit. Aside of that it is rather neutral in flavor; lacks maltiness, fruitness or any other character.
The mouthfeel is somehow oily but pleasant.

Bright golden color with lots of thick head with medium retention and leaving laces.
Predominant aroma of grassy hops with some malt notes.
Bitter taste from its grassy hops balanced by malt sweetness.
Dry and a long lasting bitter aftertaste.
Light body with good carbonation.
Traditional bohemian recipe, although it had no off-flavors, it did not highlighted any special character. Decent but I felt it a bit tiresome. Not Czech’ finest.

Really solid crisp Czech lager. Nothing overly fancy, just a damn good clean pilsner. Won't win any points for innovation, but a very example of what makes the style enjoyable.
